Last thread had some good discussion about how to solve the US County issue.
I like the idea of a county citizen designing a flag, the only issue is that it takes a long time for flags to come under official usage.
I think the best idea is to have a cutout of the county on a colored background (rather than white since so many are white) with the color corresponding with the primary color of the county website, just so we get some color in the flag database.
If anybody has any opposing ideas, please speak. I'd like a yea or nay on the cutout idea.

But really, this is a pressing issue that needs to be discussed. We could always try calling up counties and maybe proposing a flag or seal, especially if one of us lives in any of the red counties.
If we want to go that route, we should start small and try contacting the counties of states that are missing 2-3, such as South Carolina or Oregon.

Lets start with SC;
The two counties missing are Allendale and Edgefield, both of which don't have a population above 27,000.
We should plan to contact these counties and urge them to adopt a flag or seal - both these counties are pretty rural and poor so I doubt we'll find anyone here who's a local. Native South Carolinians might have a better shot.

Yeah, but i don't see much of a solution for it at that point. Considering SC is one of the original states in the union, and has existed for a few hundred years, waiting for those counties to eventually adopt a flag is not a good idea.

There's a lot of counties in America that don't have flags or seals, and usually counties only add them after historical events.

I'm an advocate for the statehood of Jefferson here in Northern California. If only they'd allow the people of the northern counties to vote, and not the Cal State legislature.

Some lawsuit went through recently over the representation bullshit going on atm. We have something like 3/120 representative for the top 1/3 of the state and they finally filed the lawsuit over it a few weeks ago.
They're still too lolbertarian for my tastes but I support them 3/4 of the time so I'm with them on it.

My man, no one can honestly say whether or not Puerto Rico will vote blue or red, but what I can say is that they are a bit more conservative than you would give them credit for. I would say it's a toss up on who they vote for.
Well the goal of the movement is to be a bipartisan thing, especially since Mendocino and Humboldt go liberal. I agree it's mostly a right-wing thing, but the concept of representation should be something which reaches beyond party lines.
I think the best thing is to get the word of the movement out. I sometimes fly the flag on the back of my car, and I technically don't live within the jurisdiction of Jefferson. If it were created i would move to Redding, since the company i work for operates out of there.
Well kek wills you - i really hope they are red, but they seem like they have a real welfare problem, and that is perfect considering the democrats will try to protect their gimme dats. If they had a lot of Cuban influence, i'd agree.
However, if Trump does grant them statehood, then it would be a good move as the Republicans would have the credit for making PR a state.

Although I love the backstory behind that flag. When Egypt began negotiating and holding talks with Israel, Qaddafi got so pissed that he changed his country's flag (which looked a lot like Egypt's with the black/white/maroon) to straight up green because it is the color of Islam.
