If hackers on steroids took control of your computer and hijacked your webcam, why not just say they also planted the fucking CP? I assume the sister is the one that called the police after seeing the video, not the hackers, and you have an entire cellphone and multiple witnesses to corroborate the fact that you'd been hacked/blackmailed. Even if they were the ones to have reported him, there is still a buttload of evidence that proves they exist, and I doubt they'll be willing to turn their gear in as evidence. He really should have thought this through better.

His social life would be mildly inconvenienced at best. It would be awkward, but anyone who actually cared about him would recognize the fact that he was clearly the victim. That sympathy would be much less if they'd known he was a pedophile, and it wouldn't really matter anyway because he'd be looking at a lengthy prison sentence. And he CLEARLY had been worried about the CP, look at the way he panicked when his sister found his computer.
