I haven't been to Europe, but all they talked about in highschool is how the Swiss and the Scandinavians (mostly the latter) are the happiest and most successful people in the world. Europe can't be that bad, can it?

But there are some great European universities, right? I know that all the top ones are American schools + Oxbridge, but those rankings are mostly by American sources. Surely there's gotta be some bias there.
Besides, Europe is safer than America and has much better public education. Europe seems like a pretty good place.

The European left is very good at hiding how miserable life is for most people in this continent. Most people rent, no one owns property. Most people are wage slaves that rely heavily on shitty government services. There is absolutely no comfort.
People always point out that "Switzerland has one of the highest number of patents per capita" but they forget to mention that most of those patents belong to foreign people who use Switzerland as a platform to protect their patents internationally. Switzerland is stuck in the 1970s. Everything looks like it looked back then. Switzerland is far behind with regards to mobile and internet technology. In Beijing, for example, most things can be paid with a phone and a QR code.In Switzerland people still go to the fucking post office to pay their bills. In Beijing, there is Mobike*, you can geolocate, rent, use and leave bikes in almost any point of the city. In Switzerland, you can, walk 15 minutes to the closest bus stop (if you're lucky). Beijing is bigger than Switzerland and yet it is extremely well connected with a subway system that provides trains every 2-5 minutes. Switzerland has places where buses pass only once a day and "big cities" only get trains every 15 minutes (yet the Swiss feel that their system is the best in the world). In Beijing, you can have food delivered to your home 24/7. In Switzerland you can't buy shit after 7pm.
Switzerland is a country filled with narrow-minded inbred peasants, senile people and corrupt assholes and murderers who come hide their money here.
