ITT : Childhood kinos

Post your childhood kino.
Mine is pic related by far.

...

Holds up too. I hardly cringed at all and genuinely cried at the end.

err what's that movie with the kid lives on a space farm and some robots find him and he goes off to find this old guy and his parents get murdered and it turns off the old guy was a space knight and they run off and fly in a disk and fly to a metal sphere and the kid turns out to be the son of the badguy who wears a black mask

it's something like Star Task or something

Space Race

that sounds right.

Not sure. Sounds like a pretty great movie though. Let me know if you remember what it was called.

i remember there was a scene where this giant yeti was walking around and a girl told it to get out of her way and called it a "giant walking rug" or something liek that

...

Don't remember anything like that in Hook.

...

...

Man this movie was kind of weird

NOSTALGIA'D

Anyone rember Fanboy an Chum Chum

Never saw it but I had a childhood friend who was obsessed with it. He talked about it as if it was like hardcore war porn though but this looks like a fucking Wayans brothers comedy.

Kid was a fucking spaz.

His mind was probably blown by the scene where Payne walks into the little boy's room because "there's a monster in my closet" and fires like 8 rounds into the door.

Get out old man.

>Nice night
>Mmhhmm, pizza dude's got 30 seconds

Hook a shit. I watched it recently thinking it was good from my childhood, it's really not.

God damn that looks bad.

neck yourself kid

...

>shit talking the turtles

...

I've got nostalgia goggles bad enough that I can still lie to myself. But yeah, it's nowhere as good as I remembered it to be.
Some scenes are still pretty kino, like the final fight scene which is a nice hommage to Errol Flynn's Robin Hood.

Have to disagree, tried rewatching it and cringed quite a bit. The special effects are bad enough but the dialogue is so awful it makes me want to vomit

...

I can't unsee Williams' shaved arms anymore. Christ he probably had to redo them every hour.

...

The CGI is just typical 90's tier but it's too ambitious. The dialogue didn't really bother me. I can't think of any particularly bad lines.

All the shit about the old code was eye-rolling. The entire part near the beginning where he becomes a dragon slayer just because he realized his student was a jerk made no fucking sense.

This exchange:
>If your teeth come down my sword goes up!
>If your sword goes up my teeth come down!
just one example but holy shit I couldn't even finish the move. And no, I've seen plenty of 90's movies and the CGI in Dragonheart is bottom of the barrel. Also Connery is awful as the dragon to begin with, and the terrible CGI rendering only makes it worse

He became a dragon slayer because he thought the dragon heart made Einon cruel and ruthless and didn't realize he was just keeping that side of him hidden until he became king. It makes perfect sense.

The dialogue was often cheesy but I disagree with you. It wasn't that bad.

>the CGI in Dragonheart is bottom of the barrel

You haven't seen the first Power Rangers movie then. Or Spawn.

>Sean Connery is awful as the dragon

Sean Connery has never been awful in anything at least since the 80's. He has been in a lot of bad movies in that time but he's never the problem.
