Daniel Craig by a country mile

Moore. Easily.

he's probably not the worst, but I can't watch the Moore ones. I can't deal with that piece of shit

Dalton by a country mile. Easily.

Craig and Brosnan were fucking terrible

James

George Lazenby by a cuntry mile

kek

nice

Brosnan by a mega parsec.

I GOT A LICENSE TO KILL

What are the quintessential aspects that make bond bond?

Obviously I was thinking about this when thinking about the next bond.

My list

Male
Early 40s
English (not Scottish, not necessarily white)
Straight
Cool gadgets
Bond girl and love interest

I think as long as the character fits those perimeters it has the spirit of bond.

Therefore while I think you could have a black bond, you couldn't have a gay or woman bond.

Thoughts?

AND YOU KNOW I'M GOING STRAIGHT FOR YOUR HEAAAAARARART

I think being an old school English gentleman is a big part of it, so he needs to be white. Bond should be sophisticated, the main reason why Craig is shit in the role because he can't do high-class to save his life

>English (not Scottish, not necessarily white)
People say this all the time but they forget this:
>It was not until the penultimate novel, You Only Live Twice, that Fleming gave Bond a sense of family background, using a fictional obituary, purportedly from The Times. The book was the first to be written after the release of Dr. No in cinemas and Sean Connery's depiction of Bond affected Fleming's interpretation of the character. The novel reveals Bond is the son of a Scottish father, Andrew Bond, of Glencoe, and a Swiss mother, Monique Delacroix, of the Canton de Vaud

>Best
Connery

>Great
Craig

>Great but most of his movies sucked since they were products of the shitty 90s
Brosnan

>Mediocre
Dalton

>Shit
Moore

>Who cares
Lazenby

Lazenby.

Craig isn't Bond, he's Bourne.

>Great
>Craig
opinion discarded

I feel like Moore could have easily been the best if he started 5-10 years earlier.

He still pulled it off in his first five movies, though just barely in FYEO. But holy shit in Octopussy and A View to Kill he looks like he belongs in assisted living

Orphan
Eaton/Oxford education
Expert on luxury items

>the novels
who cares, they're terrible

I agree with everything here

>implying you have a legitimate reason for disliking him other than him being the newest bond
Craig is probably the closest bond to the novels. He had two shitty movies but so did every other bond besides dalton and lazenby

>implying you have a legitimate reason for disliking him other than him being the newest bond
nice baseless assumption there chucko

>Craig is probably the closest bond to the novels
I don't give a fuck about the novels. Being faithful to the source material doesn't automatically make him a good Bond. Also I must have missed the book that explains how bond is blonde midget chav who guzzles beer

>He had two shitty movies
They're all shit, including Casino Royale. Overrated to the extreme

You seem a little confused. I'll help you out.

>Best
Dalton

>Great
Connery

>Great but most of his movies sucked since they were products of the shitty 90s
Brosnan

>Mediocre
Moore

>Shit
Craig

>Not the best, but appeared in one of the best Bond films
Lazenby

Yeah, I get that Bond isn't supposed to be 22, but jesus christ the man was almost 60 years old playing a super spy

>action
Dalton
>suave ladies' man
Connery
>Jason Bourne style killer
Craig

the rest are trash

>guy who looks/talks/behaves like a russian thugh
>good
kys

I mostly agree with this but with one point of contention, I think Brosnan's first three movies are really good. Die Another Day is the only bad one

Craig is the best actor. You're delusional if you think otherwise. He doesn't play Bond though, he plays a troubled action protagonist.

>Craig
>better actor than demigod Connery
don't know if bait or just really stupid

>still haven't made a single legitimate point against him
"Overrated" is not a criticism

>confusing attractiveness, charm and charisma with acting abilities
No, I'm not stupid.

Connery and Brosnan are the best.

Moore and Craig are the worst.

Moore is the worst bond with bad movies, Brosnan is the best bond with worse movies (other than god-tier Goldeneye)

youtube.com/watch?v=hucb7qDEi9A

Tomorrow Never Dies is pretty fucking bad dude, and I say this as a Brosnan fan

Yes, yes you are quite stupid indeed.

Post clips of Connery's superior acting, mofouke.

Graig isn't even Bond.
But if he leaves they will probably cast someone worse in his place.

>English (not Scottish, not necessarily white)
Fuck off libtard. No blackies in my Bond films

Connery's bond was the worst by far

Roger "Pun intended" Moore is worst overall and most consistently bad.

Made more evident by the fact it's mostly women who like him the most.

A: Chicks think he's handsome
B: has cool car
C: has lots of cash
D: has no visible scars
E: does not live with parents

Lazenby was by far the worst which is a bummer because OHMSS is one of the best movies.

He's just soft. You can tell he was just a model with no acting experience because all he does is look good. There's no bite or toughness in him at all.

>D: has no visible scars

Actually Fleming's Bond had a clear scar on his right cheek that he got in the service. He also had a scar on his hand from where he removed a Russian spy brand that he got in Casino Royale.

Moore or Brosnan.

Moore was too old and should never have been considered even.
Brosnan has the worst movies. One god-tier movie can't make up for the rest.

How about
F: you're a gimp
You know what you can do with your list?

TND and TWINE are underrated as fuck. Go back and rewatch them and tell me they're worse than Spectre or that pile of shit QoS

I was saying Casino Royale is overrated, and I never said that was a criticism. Also I'm stating my opinion not trying to make "legitimate points." It's not like you were making good points either with your "you only hate him because he's new! He's closer to the books!" bullshit, retard

The argument that Craig's portrayal is similar to the novels is asinine. Has anyone who thinks this actually read the novels? The literary Bond is a sophisticated gentleman with fine tastes and an eye for detail. If you think that describes Craig's Bond you're an imbecile, he's a street thug

Yeah, that's the god-tier one.

Goldeneye is overrated as fuck. TWINE is trash.

Brosnan may not be the best actor of the bunch, but he has the best looks

Roger Moore for sure.

Imagine if ALL the bonds reunite in one movie. How cool is that?

He's the prettiest Bond at least. Not the most handsome or manly.

DAAAAAAAAAYUM DANIEL CRAIG THICK AF HE BAAAAAAAAD

Dalton best
Moore worst

And Idris Elba has to kill them all as part of his 00 mission.

It's not great or anything, but it's a fun homage to the more fanciful Bond movies of the past and the villain is a hoot. My only real issue with it is the forced romance subplot between Brosnan and Yeoh who have zero chemistry

Connery or Dalton back as a villain would be better.

I love TWINE, without a doubt the most underrated film in the franchise. I'd place it in my top 5

Well, you know what you can do with your show? You can take a flying... til the handle breaks off and you have to get a doctor to pull it out again.

Richards is so awful though

Yes, but she's hot as fuck. Unfortunately she had to be a bond girl in the same movie as Sophie Marceau.

>Brosnan had BMWs instead of Aston Martins
He was dealt a shit hand.

When Bond stabs him in the chest, is he laughing because he's wearing a stab vest, or because he's just a badass?

What's sad is that Sir Roger knew he was too old and wanted to quit but the producers kept offering him more and more money to the point where he would have been an idiot to say no

>Being faithful to the source material doesn't automatically make him a good Bond.

....what the fuck am I reading!

I unironically loved his invincible BMW

Pretty good villains and a lot more of Judi Dench's M for the first time which is always a good thing, but the plot is pretty nonsensical and the Bond girl sucks.

A middle of the road entry.

all of the moore movies had action sequences though. ski jump base jump, boat jump, citroen 2cv jump, bobsled ski chase, snow motorcycles, lotus submarines, space shuttles....bah, kids in this thread.....dalton is the worst however...

faithfulness =/= quality

it's quite simple

Moore was charming as fuck and delivered the one-liners really well but he wasn't intimidating at all. His movies were goofy but still pretty enjoyable.

1- Connery
2- Brosnan
3- Dalton
4- Moore
5- Craig
6- Lazenby

Tbh

She's awful but in a funny way. The ridiculousness of her as a nuclear scientist never fails to put a smile on my face

>Dalton back as a villain would be better.
Best villain.

FYEO would have hugely benefited from a new Bond too, hell it was designed for a new Bond (probably Dalton, years early).
Apart from the wacky opening, it was a return to a more down to earth (literally after Moonraker) Bond with a more mundane plot and more traditional action.

Not to mention the big emphasis on the Bond girl that time. Increasingly wrinkly Moore is the one thing that damages the film, which is a really underrated entry.

Well Moore drove a Lotus

>English (not Scottish)
I have news for you user

>dalton is the worst

he had mad bent leg karate skills though. he's still my favorite.

...

I liked the plot, grandiose but at the same time a relatively realistic scheme that doesn't involve destroying the human race or starting World War 3. Elektra is both a great villain and an excellent Bond girl. Also Brosnan's performance is phenomenal, the way he seamlessly transitions from Silly Fop Bond to Cold Hard Bond is a joy to watch. Some of his lines are unforgettable, like "I never miss."

All in all one of the more unique entries in the series and a personal favorite

both desu

>Connery
Connery tier. Duh.

>Lazenby
Pffftahahahah, no, really

>Moore
Love him or hate him. People confuse his movies with himself. He's not great. He gets genuinely awful in the later few movies.

>Dalton
Heavily underrated. His two movies were underrated and fucking great.

>Brosnan
Depends, are you a 90s kid? Personally, I think he's a great Bond held back by shit movies, and Goldeneye is the proof here.

>Craig
Like Brosnan, held back by some bad writing, but I think he's quite close to books!Bond. Once he relaxed a little, he did it pretty well.

Alright children, let's do it:

>Best Bond

>Best movie

>Worst movie

>Most underrated

>Most overrated

>Best girl

>Best villain

>Best henchman

>Best song

Moore is just so likable, you can't help but cheer him on and smile at his antics. The hate for him is completely undeserved

I unironically enjoy watching Diamonds are Forever as a fun little escape

Dalton is my fav. He's the ideal balance.

He's charming and handsome, but also has a sense of intimidating menace about him, and he has the ideal look for the part. It also helps that even though he only got two films, he got to play two fairly different Bonds, the suave quippy traditional Bond in TLD, and the vengeful brutal Bond in LTK.

Shame he was only around for the two, while we got seven films of wrinkled Roger Moore who looked like he should be going on a golfing trip, not saving the world as a super spy.

I feel like you're expected to say Connery is the best although I think Brosnan is a much better all-round Bond. In my head he looks exactly how I'd imagine Bond would look too.

It's decent and has its moments, also Tiffany Case is hnnnnnnnng

...

>Best girl
>Solitaire

Brosnan is a jack-of-all-trades, like he has some of the qualities of all the Bonds that came before him, without any of their weaknesses. He can be suave, he can be mean, he can be silly, he can be vulnerable, and he can go from one to the other without a hitch. My favorite Bond, hands down

Is there like a grid collage of the Bond girls, because there's a lot and they're pretty much all really hot.

best, moore
best movie, skyfall
worst movie, world is not enough
most underrated, octopussy
most overrated, casio royale
best girl, agent xxx spy who loved me
best villain, blofeld
best henchman, odd job
best song, skyfall or nobody does it better.
