hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/peter-jackson-i-didnt-know-842271

they never should have have stretched it out into 3 movies

All the things

What didn't?
Martin Freeman

Everything, even the fucking music

It was 3 movies instead of just 1

3D/HFR gimmick nonsense

Studio interference

not enough Alfrid

Peter Jackson didn't particularly care about doing it.

I actually liked the first movie. atleaset the first half. the second film was so bad I didden't see the third

Imagine how great it would be with less cg and unnecessary scenes and as a single 3 hour epic

It would be a great addition to the trilogy.

com on, this wasn't that bad?

WHAAAAAAR

These movies would have been better without the non-canonical niggers in them

that whole Laketown shit with stephen fry and that monobrow guy was absolute shite.

>a single 3 hour epic
The Hobbit is not an epic story.

They should have actually filmed The Hobbit instead of Lord of the Rings episode 0-A 0-B 0-C.

At least Martin Freeman ACTED the right movie. Too bad about everything surrounding him.

WHHHHOOOAAAAAARRRR

These bats are bred for only one purpose

WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR

Martin Freeman played Martin Freeman, but it kind of worked for Bilbo

>The Hobbit: The Motion Picture Trilogy

No other explanation needed.

nothing i love it

>What went wrong?

Guillermo Del Toro left the project

Literally the only redeeming part of the trilogy

Peter Jackson being forced into making it as a trilogy and with no preparation time.

He did a bad job, but New Line put him in a pretty terrible position after firing Del Toro. He was basically set up to fail.

When they announced two movies, I was uneasy, but said, okay, maybe they can fill in the blanks left by the book. When they announced three, that's when I knew there was something wrong.

Absolutely nothing up until Smaug's death.

GDT left and Jackson had to take over on short notice and pump out 3 films he didn't prepare years for like The Lord of the Rings.

The story wasn't over by the end of the first movie.

...

Its not "the lord of the rings".

Its "lord of the rings".

Don't forget

"These bats are bred...FOR WHHOOOAAAR"
