Sir David Frederick Attenborough OM CH CVO CBE FRS FLS FZS FSA does it again!
Planet Earth II Thread
>Sir David Frederick Attenborough OM CH CVO CBE FRS FLS FZS FSA
I spent like 15 seconds trying to sound that all out like you were speaking like OH EM GEE ELL OH ELL before realizing those must be titles. Jesus fuck how many titles can one dude have?
He has 32 Honorary degrees.
The man is a symbol of hope and beauty.
>FRS
I'm jealous.
> you will never be an FRS
FRS is the only one that actually means anything. Based.
The man is 90 but has the energy of someone far younger. He should unironically be an inspiration to everyone.
Is this officially released in The United States of America and if so, where?
I don't think it's coming there untill January.
>officially released
Just go torrent it, you twit.
Only on BBC iPlayer for now.
You should be able to find a 1080p upload somewhere.
Thanks
>all those """"""""patricians"""""""""" complaining about overdramatisation
Keking so hard at you. Docus aren't supposed to teach you about nature, a fucking Wikipedia page will tell you more.
Planet Earth is supposed to show you the beauty of Earth's life, and its biggest values should be the photography and the way it's presented. It's not, or at least not only, an educational device, it's first and foremost a form of art, celebrating the natural world and deriving its value from its beauty. Complaining about storylines (unless they get too extensive and start playing a significant role, obviously) or cinematic shots in this kind of motion picture is a sure sign of a plebeian.
>FSA
Fucking terrorist.
>Honorary degrees
do amerifats actually do this?
>look up comono dragons
>they actually exist
They're Komodo Dragons, user.
I dont suppose you think "Sloth" is spelled "Slothe" now do you?
>I dont suppose you think "Sloth" is spelled "Slothe" now do you?
its not??
that was me after Skyfall lol
Retarded 12 year old weeb
y b mean
>those snakes chasing the iguana hatching
>have one chance at life
>be born on the only island on Earth worse than Australia
>yes, I've just called Australia an island
>there are 3 million birds on the island, but only one matters to him...
;_______;
>tfw watching the original planet earth on shrooms
I can't imagine watching this one in glorious 4K HD on a huge TV, it'd probably melt my brain.
HOLY SHIT DUDE
That Iguana was just born. It was incubated in an egg beneath the sand and its first glimpse of the world after being born alone was those snakes. If it makes it to the shore it gets to live, otherwise it gets to die.
wtf I hate sneks now
Here's audio.
>tfw they literally have to do this right after they're born and emerge from their eggs
Holy fuck, talk about bad luck.
cool
Officially on January the 28th on BBC America.
nigga you young.
KEKED
>defending komodo dragon sound effects
neat new word filters
That's been a word filter for a year. KEK
He heard a female calling him, and swam to her.
rekt
Saw this is on my early stoner days.
Cities would be interesting.
Lion nearly got his throat though
Attenborough is my boy yo, but if he pronounces "sloth" as slowf again I'm gonna have to give him a slap
Just finished watching it. Holy crap that was good. Can't wait for next week's episode.
>all those penguin corpses on that island
>all dem snakes

Lion got btfo
Fuck this I need Planet Earth III, IV, V, . . . , n
Attenborough is my nigga.
Is he "our guy"?
>Zavodovski Island
>The southernmost point is Fume Point, NE of which rises Noxious Bluff and the southwestern headland is Pacific Point. The easternmost cape is Pungent Point, the northernmost Reek Point, the northwesternmost Acrid Point and the westernmost Stench Point.
>Mount Asphyxia, a stratovolcano, dominates the western side of the island while the eastern half is a low-lying lava plain.
Sounds like a nice place...
It can't be long now until he joins his brothers ;_;
...
I have so much respect for these filmmakers.
How do you even get footage like that?
Imagine how long you have to wait around until two Komodo dragons start fighting, then at the drop of a hat capture the whole thing on camera as if it were a fight scene from 300 with multiple camera angles.
holy shit my dudes, this cgi is realer than real life
They must have ridiculous armor plating, I know their bites could sever a human arm.
They've always had music under the actions of animals in every David Attenborough docu.
You're just a pleb who doesn't know shit.
youtube.com
I'm not talking about the music m8.
>David Attenborough docu
He's just the narrator Planet Earth and your link. Compare to Life series where he wrote and narrated.
a cute
lmao actual autist to prioritise minutiae sound effects over glorious shots
The foot and fight sound effects aren't minutiae they were were obnoxious.
I guess any criticism is autism now?
nyce one man. literally anything could be autism. remember your Sup Forums ettiquette. btw they weren't obnoxious. didn't really take away from the scene
They totally took away from the scene. If they're going to add it in it should be more subtle.
The footage is amazing on it's own I don't need comical action sounds.
>Imagine how long you have to wait around until two Komodo dragons start fighting
Literally half the interactions between dragons is males fighting over nothing.
Still its not a bright idea to try to take an animal who's leg muscles are bigger than your torso 1 on 1
>assumming everyone is retarded enough to realise the sound is diegetic
Look, people're smart enough to know the sounds are added on. And also smart enough to move on from the fact, and still find it just as beautiful with the add-ons than without.
It still was overdone.
have you not seen the making of? they wait for days on end
Its fucking unsettling how fast these spiders move, they resemble industrial machinery.
how bad could the effects really be anyway? too much hissing?
or was it over the top, like clunks and thuds and benny hill music?
There's some overdone hissing and constriction noises with the snakes.
But I mainly disliked the dragon section because they did a loud sound effect for their claw/feet hitting the dirt and when they were fighting.
Personally I would want it less for a nature show, maybe I'm autistic but it took me out of it.
yeah i get what youre saying. when the dragon jumped on top of the other one and they used the slide whistle it was really distracting. and the xylophone while they were walking was just ridiculous.
Yurocucks sure as fuck do, seeing as that's what David is and where all his "degrees" are from.
Are you literally retarded? 13 years old? Both?
Does this air once a week?
God forbid our documentaries ever become like the US ones.
the last documentary i watched that came outta the UK starred a guy who would jack it in public bathrooms every time he saw a hot chick on the street. so i dunno man..
That giraffe is 10 times heavier.
Hanging on to its throat would have done nothing.
The lion is lucky it wasn't an adult.
I think the lion died.
Moar webums
Stupid bratposter
>had 7 feet of throat to grab
>missed it all
thats what ya call natural selection.
