>there is a general for this shit

kill yourselves

I will. Thank you.

genesis of the cybermen

it'll either be brilliant, or absolutely shite. there won't be an in between. i just hope moffat pulls it out of the bag (or whomever writes it).

hopefully marc platt since were getting a returning classic writer

My bet on the returning writer is Rona Munro.

I don't know why they'd bring Marc Platt in and ask for another genesis of the Cyberman story unless they're doing another like-for-like adaptation of Spare Parts, a bit like Human Nature in S3.

All 12 Series 10 episode titles.

1: A Star in Her Eye
2: The countenance of truth
3: Oscar and the Blue Box
4: The Haunted Hub
5: The Mondas Cradle
6: Hope of Mondas
7: Fola's Burden
8: Return to Circulation
9: Circle of Terror
10: A soldiers anguish
11: Welcome to Mars
12: The Red Gates

I've no source to give you, but I have the story information about these episodes. Ask away.

People still watch NuWho?

nah

How long have you been a lying asshole?

I'll bite. What's Circle Of Terror about?

>LFC fan. Socialist. Oxford Law student. Love football and badminton.

It's set in both Modern day Scotland and ancient Scotland. But filmed in Wales. The modern day parts deal with the ramifications of an ancient Pictish cult who summoned a creature in desperation against other Celts called Gaels.

All 12 Series 10 episode titles.

1: A Star in Her Eye
2: A Cosmos in Her Arse
3: Nardole Takes Dr Who Up the Shitter
4: The Haunted Hub
5: The Tenth Planet 2: Mondas Boogaloo
6: The Tenth Planet 3: Telos Jazzhands
7: The Secret of asBill
8: The Holy Ghost of Dr Who's Billionth Shitstain
9: Adam Orford Strikes Again
10: Class Crossover
11: The End of the Showrunner
12: Reboot

And Welcome To Mars? What's the best episode?

Welcome to Mars is set on Mars in the last 2100's, earth became flooded, and refugees helped by the UN are camped outside an Ice warrior hive who wont let them in, things go downhill when the flood attack infecting both the Ice warriors and refugee's, causing them to work together.
10 is the best episode imo it hasn't been filmed yet obviously but the script is good,

A soldiers anguish - Doctor Takes Bill to a futuristic shopping complex on pluto. Its gonna be one of
Moffats most mature episodes. It deals with a displaced Gallifreyan soldier suffering from Post traumatic stress disorder.
He takes a restaurant hostage and is suicidal. It's meant to convey the mental suffering many veterans go through and how little is done about it
and shows the horrific after effects of war. The Doctor spends the ep talking the soldier down and relating to his experiences. Wont spoil the ending.

the series 9 soundtrack won't be out until next year
they want both xmas specials on it

Yup. January 2017.
Feb's big merch will be the Power blu-ray.
March: start gearing up promo for Series 10 starting April.

How many episodes is Nardole in?

Only five.

How would you rank the series compared to other NuWho's based on the scripts you've read?

Rip your Big Finish vinyl to 24-bit 96 KHz FLAC and post it

Wha about that rumor of a future incarnation trapped in the TARDIS?

And any way you could do a Marcelo Camargo on a few pics of scripts, just to confirm? Obviously, some close-ups, not enough to identify you.

It's excellent, better than series 8 and 8, there's only one two parter which is the Mondas story and this works in the series favour, i'd compare it to series 4 and 5. the only episode that is shit is ''Return to circulation'' which is the Mark Gatiss episode and an unnecessary and boring sequel to series nine's, Sleep No More.

The Beeb partially sold a lot of their music to Sony Music Entertainment.

That's Capitalism!

and 9*

>beard

It's a living cliche

FARK THE BBC REEEEEE

>tfw sounds goat but just know it's false spoilers

Spare Parts was so good that I don't know if they can match/top it, but I am hype for a Genesis of the Cybermen on television. There was one particularly harrowing scene in Spare Parts which I thought was just fantastic.

The TV episode will be a parody of it called Extra Bits

Not the BBC's fault.

Blame the Gubbermint.

>tfw Linky made a Roger Delgado reference in today's episode

>Blame the Gubbermint.
Always.

With time, even NuWho can become Classic Who

Really what about Martha? And what about the other races?

Time to finish off the Sarah Jane Adventures.

>Sky
She's a cutie but otherwise the character doesn't do much to grab me. I don't know how I feel about just giving Sarah Jane another child to replace Luke. Also she has super powers that are not that different from what the sonic screwlipstickdriver already does.

>We may get Series 10 OST before Series 9

Lads does anyone have download link for the Russell T Davies Writer's Tale book?

I'm really curious to see how he justifies all that shit.

amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Writers-Final-Chapter-ebook/dp/B00B2N5GQC/ref=sr_1_1_twi_kin_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1478569961&sr=8-1&keywords=the writer's tale

>paying for that shit

Go to bed Russell

fuck off, cunt.

There's a part where he talks about the thing in S4 where Caan said someone was going to die and he's like "I know i'm not going to kill anyone but i'm going to do it anyway haha" . He also considers killing Mickey and then having Martha perform CPR on him.

>Shilling DW merchandise

Unironically kill yourself

I'm not advertising it nigga, you're the one who wanted it.

>shilling
This word is only used by people who think they deserve free stuff.

what the fuck was that shitty dalek saucer interior set in victory of the daleks where they barely disguise that it's some freezer
couldn't they rebuild the RTD era set?

Who nose.

What's /who/ with you?

I'm reading Perfect Timing 2.

Doing a rewatch of the Moffat era since it's been a while and there's some episodes that I've only watched once and barely remember.

Plowing through Series 5, just rewatched Vincent and the Doctor, god fucking damn. Such a beautiful farking episode. Everyone in this thread needs to go see it again if it's been a while, it's incredible. Probably one of my favorite episodes ever.

do you have a download link? It's almost impossible to come by.

Yeah, love this ep too. The only Who ep written by Richard Curtis.

Check vk's page.

Go down the page. Link to PT 1 and 2 will be there.

TRUMP IS THE NEW PRESIDENT

AHAHAHAHAHAHA

Christ you fuckers are everywhere

...

>deserve

Who said anything about deserve? I want free stuff therefore I ask. I wasn't even asking to torrent your precious big finish shit, just an out of print cash in.

I was just kidding so his supporters freak out and I get to say "You got baited".

Whats "Adam Orford Strikes Again" about

...

Iceberg: interestingly bad.
Now, the problem is simple: for a book that promises to show the Doctor in action on his own and has Cybermen right on the cover, both of those elements take a very long time to appear. Until the halfway point, in fact (though the Doctor has a handful of very brief scenes before that). The whole first half is a long introduction, starting with flashbacks to the Eighties and continuing with several chapters of people on a cruise. When the story gets started, it's an entertaining, if traditional, runaround, with a conclusion that feels rushed after all the time taken to establish the characters.
And yet, it's not all bad. The protagonist, Ruby, is a good enough character that she relieves the boredom of the first half a bit, and some of the supporting cast are interesting too. The use of the Cybermen is pretty good: there's some good body horror, and the first case of a Cyberman with ideas and emotions from a previous life resurfacing. And there's a great red herring about their plan that completely fooled me.
There's also some odd symbolism based on The Wizard of Oz that doesn't seem to mean anything, with Ruby as Dorothy and the Doctor as the Wizard. And some Taoist stuff, which is good in small doses but gets a bit tiresome when characters are quoting Lao Tsu every two pages.
Banks's prose is alright, though he seems a bit too fond of short sentences. I mean, look at this:
>The Doctor came round to the clack of footsteps. But he saw nothing. He was lying on his back on a hard surface. His head throbbed. He was in a bad way. He was sure his eyes were open. He tried closing them tight. He opened them again. Blackness. Perhaps he'd gone blind. His head was throbbing loudly. Almost vibrating.
Christ, man. Put a comma in there somewhere.
Banks has ideas and an eye for characterization. With a lot of editing to fix the excruciating pace and some of the eccesses, Iceberg could have been a great book. As it stands, it's just an odd one. 4/10.

>MFW THE EXPERIENCE IS FUCKING DEAD

Are they any good? Hadn't heard of Perfect Timing until now

I've listened RNIB version of Iceberg this summer on my morning strolls.
I remember I was liking it precisely because of long introduction and important character's flashbaks.

Characterization is definitely a good thing, in fact the deeper you go into the characters, the better. But there's just so little story for so much of the book's length.
I kind of wanted to like it, since mixing Cybermen, Taoism and The Wizard of Oz is such an unusual thing. But there doesn't seem to be any reasoning behind it, it's just... Stuff that went into the book because the author liked it, I guess.

They haven't closed it yet, have they?

The tv guide mag i was reading lists the Children In Need sneek peek at the Christmas special as occurring around 8 PM, sometime after the kids choir's done wailing

>Stuff that went into the book because the author liked it, I guess.
It was written by a cyberleader actor who haven't wrote anything else IIRC, it's pretty much so

Are you the same user who was going to chronologically infosorb all the Doctor Who media? Either way, I hope you keep it up!

...

Nope, I'm only infosorbing all the Seventh Doctor books, and that's a big enough task in itself.
I've done 12 Targets, 11 Past Doctor Adventures, one of the Telos Novellas and 18 New Adventures. I still have 42 NAs, a Missing Adventure, one PDA and another novella to get through.

REMINDER

Ha, I just remembered my old log-in for the Kemble forums...

..Holy crap, New Who discussion's been dead there for a year.

>8: Return to Circulation
>9: Circle of Terror
Is this a two parter?

twitter.com/PhilSandifer/status/795475733787328515
Reminder that Sandifer thinks he's only weird despite being a crazy Marxist who thinks alchemy and sigil magic are legitimate concepts. And thinks that Season 24 was cool.

And he looks like a p***

Well tbf New Who has been dead for almost a year.

>p***
what?

I'm guessing "pedo."

What does a pedo look like?

>inb4 phil

Apparently, Matt Lucas but with glasses and a dead rat for a beard.

I'm skimming more of the place...actually, discussion there has been completely dead since 2014. Only one guy pops in now and then asking if there's anyone about

>it's actually there
I didn't even know pleasures like this were possible

guess since Levine had his severe stroke.

How long is a night on Darillium?

No one's ready for the Twelfth Doctor Adventures - The Darillium Years.

Yeah, that and before that it was because he forgot how to log in

I am.

Are those two on the list?

...

youtube.com/watch?v=N06xLO1I_mY

Shame after A Christmas Carol the show goes massively downhill and doesn't really recover until series 8.

...

Loved it. And if you're mentally ill it really works as therapy. I was on the verge of killing myself when that aired and it made my day better. I checked into hospital a week later and I've been fine since

Speaking for all of /who/ I'm sure, glad you're ok now, user.

Cheers.
Mind you, I thought season five was the scariest season ever before that episode due to how ill I was. Everything jumped out at me

Help me to have faith in NuWho again, please, I watched Classic Who and it was super comfy, then I came back to NuWho and now only the first season has that sort of vibe sometimes

chronological user here, about halfway through ish...

Nothing against peri, but she needs to go, the doctors development gets so much better after she leaves.

Watch these:

Heaven Sent
Blink
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
Mummy on the Orient Express
Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead
The Eleventh Hour

/who/ voted these their best of NuWho in the who ranks /who/ survey.

tfw doing masterplan q in my run puts me at irredeemable.
