They're obviously so starved of creativity (or too nervous to gamble on any... probably a combination of the two) that they don't realise they are essentially self destructing. Everything is just reboots, sequels, prequels, adaptations. There's not really much original content being produced anymore. Because it's not deemed profitable.

The mentality that every tv show should strive to hit the 10 year mark. Or that Supernatural has justified being alive for an extra 8 years past its shelf life. House of Cards continuing long after he becomes president. GoT thinking that 8 episodes of filler a season and 2 episodes of actual story progression are enough to warrant a year of television.... All this shit is just a product of their shitty, over-safe, outdated mentalities.

Hopefully in 15 - 20 years there will be a lot of new blood in the film industry and things will take a turn for the better. But right now shit is dire in my opinion. Money is the only thing on their minds. Integrity's dead.

I think there's a decent probability that this entire Rogue Maeve plotline was planned in full by Ford. Right down to her convincing those guys to increase her intelligence.

At baseline, we know SOMEBODY important has been helping Maeve, it's just a question of who. Considering this stuff relates to a native religion, and considering Ford's new plotline relates to religion, and considering Ford is somebody able to edit hosts without people knowing, I think it's gotta be him.
