What would happen if Mexico occupied Clipperton Island? Would France or NATO actually attack us? Or can we get away with it?

I don't think they would care
Or notice

A war to end all wars

Nato wont require members to defend territories bellow the 25°N parallel, you're good to go mexbro

Europeans probably wont hold any oversea territories by 2050. Too many indians and chinese.

They would first send their 2000 forces deployed in French Polynesia and New Caledonia and their distant aircraft carrier on the way. If Mexico didn't back down they might shoot a submarine missile without a nuclear warhead onto Mexican territory as a threat.

Most Mexicans are not even aware that thing exist, why would we occupy it in the first place?

For fun

Mexico would get bombed to dust

Last time we tried it end up being REALLY fun...

I wonder if the Americans allow them to resupply from Hawaii or if the logistics will all have to come from their Polynesian territories. They had been increasing their presence in the Asia Pacific over the past year

They'd sink your flag ship, capture all your men and in 30ish years ridicule you with memes on chinese cartoon sites

muh clay

Why are they doing that?

>americans nukepost in behalf of other countries

>France discovered the islands first
>Americans tried to take a hold of them at some point
>they leave
>It was uninhabited until guano farmers got there
>Mexico suddenly cared about it
>sent 100 people to live there
>supplies to the ""colony"" stopped when the revolution war started
>everyone eventually died off without the supplies
>the only male out of the 14 survivors went insane
>proclaimed himself king
>attempted to rape everyone else
>one of the survivor girls killed him
>one american ship rescued the ones left
>everyone forgets this happened
>uninhabited again
>france sets up a military port there
>abandons it
>americans use it in WW2
>abandons it
>remains that way to this day
>local fishermen and joint scientist expeditions from Mexico and France visit it one in a blue moon
>99% of Mexicans don't know this island exists

Ah yes, muh clay

Argentina had shakier claims to the falklands but it was enough for nationalist retards.

territory in the area(new caledonia vote for independence soon)
keeping the sea lanes safe for trade(piracy is increasing in south east asia)
increasing ties with allied nations in the area with military exercises
disaster relief missions

they still haven't sent me a cute french gf yet as appreciation for buying their subs, hopefully it's soon

Is it expensive to fly from Oz to NC?

It would start a chain reaction where every country takes back their rightful clay from the fr*gs

Mexico -> Clipperton
Canada -> Saint Pierre and Miquelon
Brazil -> French Guiana
Australia -> New Caledonia

it will be glorious!

The frogs need to give back what isn't theirs

French Guiana is not claimed by Brazil.

I'm not even scared

Well, you can claim the land and fight against the frogs.

Liberate French Guiana from the tyranny and exploitation of Paris.
