I've seen two that are that, cannibal holocaust and a serbian film.
CH wasn't that bad, i knew going into it that it wasn't real except when they kill that turtle but other then that i didn't think it was that good.
ASF was pretty fucked up but one line made me laugh NEW BORN PORN!

The special effects are top notch, even if the plot is lacking.
The original point was to chronicle a serial killer, which ends up being a lot of random murders, go figure. Then they included the girl and her fucked up brother and it kinda devolved into more of the edgelord stuff, with the baby eaten by maggots and the vomiting on the lesbians and such. The scene in the third film where they attack the family at Xmas got to me though, it's hard to imagine that happening to you and yours.

Most films like that are trying to be as extreme as possible, but that one is comparably surprisingly tame and that made it feel genuine, which freaked me out a bit.

I've never seen CH or ASF. For me the worst movie I saw was Martyrs, followed by Antichrist. It's torture porn with every last bit of "fun" drained from the proceedings. At least Saw had mirth.
Martyrs was harder because the actors were literal whos, and I never got pulled out of the immersion.

I tried to be coolest at school and looked up a bunch of "worst horror ever" lists, this made me discover underground horror.
Later I got my hands on a book that listed a bunch of faux snuff and the author had written about the films/interviewed the directors, and APSK was one of the films in the book.
Yeah, Ive seen similar but never anything that properly compares. It all felt a little too surreal to be made up, which heightened the realism in its own way, if that makes sense.
