You haven't liked a single movie this year

You haven't liked a single movie this year.

Admit it.

Suicide Squd was kino

Bateman v Superman was supreme kino.

>hell or high water
>hacksaw ridge
>hand maiden
>moonlight
>the nice guys
>elle
>sing street
>arrival
>nocturnal animals
>swiss army man
>dont breathe
>train to busan
>shin godzilla
>la la land

cmon pepe

I haven't even watched a single movie all year.

Last time I went to the cinema was wolf of wallstreet.

It's genuinly worrying that really good movies are harder and harder to come by. I thought Hell or High Water would be kino. It was decent fun, but there was too much southern swagger and post-modern american dystopia going on for it to come across as organic as it tried to be. And the story wasn't all that, in fairness.

I really like Neon Demon, the Shallows and Angry Birds.

Doctor Strange was really good

I actually liked Strange. Didn't think I would.

That's about it, really.

I just ate In n Out. AMA.

less than half that list is watchable

I haven't watched a single movie that came out this year.

i liked the nice guys

or was that last year, i can't even rememeber.

Captain Fantastic just barely made it over the "likeable" line for me.

>this year came out 20 years ago

that's a weird fucking list user, are you okay?

Arrival was good, Don't Breath was good. I know of some others that were good but I dunno if they came out this year or were already out but just released to public this year.

Memes aside I kinda liked Batman v Superman ultimate edition, and The Accountant was surprisingly fun to watch. Other than that it's sucked dick

I liked Sully

Fite me

movies are getting to be a weird form of expression. sort of like poems. some dudes know the shit out of the poetic scene... like some dudes hold in their head the construct of liking good movies of the year. its sort of time t for something new even if those 2 things will be there forever in some capacities

I don't even like movies I'm just here for the memes.

I haven't even entered a theater once this year. God, every movie either looks terrible or uninteresting as fuck. The only one I really wanted to see was "Sausage Party", but I was out of town.

Hell or high water is the only film ive seen released this year, the rest are all shit

Haven't seen anything in theaters all year. Nothing appealing.

this >years came out frogger ago^

Not true. I saw Fury Road for the first time this year and I liked that.

>hell or high water
It's shit
>hacksaw ridge

Meme trash. Will never watch.

Movies aren't the problem. You're the one that's fucked up. You just can't be pleased.

I can be pleased, there are just barely any good films.

I liked The Lobster.

have you vomited yet?

Shin Godzilla saved 2016 tho

ashtually, this brings up a good point.
how many frog years = 1 human bean years?

if dubs = 4 frogyearsper1humanyear

It was entertaining until he left the hotel but it got really tedious and overstretched in the second half. Dogtooth on the otherhand was pure kino and excellent throughout.

yup, 2016 confirmed worst year for films, my man.

name a good film

This is the most overrated food ive ever had. Five guys > in n out

I haven't even been to the cinema this year.

20 years ago was 31 years ago

>Dogtooth
holy fuck this fucking movie
>VHS slaps

Those are good burgers, Walter.

I was a lazy pleb who didn't see the neon demon but it was probably nothing more than a good exercise in style.

Nocturnal Animals was the only great film I've seen this year. It delivered the style, the excitement, and the really fucking great Michael Shannon performance (and I rarely notice good or bad acting).

Everything else is either normieshit (dr strange, arrival, civil war, BvS and more) or disposable feeling indieshit (good or bad stuff). Nocturnal Animals transcended that.

I don't think I've seen a single movie released this year.

>the life of a Patrician

Thats not this year you retard

However 2015 was a god tier year for films

The nice guys I saw in theaters and have rented again twice I enjoyed it so much.
Hacksaw ridge was so amazing I plan on seeing it in theaters again before its gone.
There's others I'm sure, but those two off the top of my head are top tier great movies.

Mulholland Drive.

Yeah, there were also some cringie statements about love and "artsy" slowmo scenes with classical music playing in the background. The concept of the movie was solid enough to enjoy it, though.

Shut the fuck up Donnie

zootopia is literally the only good movie that has come out in 2016

You should really consider killing yourself, if you're not joking

>However 2015 was a god tier year for films
lmao no. You're probably a r/movies tier normie who was impressed by shit like Ex Machina and Sicario. It's possible there was some hidden gem I missed but I can't think of a single good film from last year and I watched most of the significant releases.

How many dragon dick dildos do you own?

Don't be a mean bully, you piece of shit.

Pleb

>Shin Godzilla
>The Handmaiden
>Hacksaw Ridge
>10 Cloverfield Lane
>Sully
>Neon Demon

These are the only movies that I enjoyed watching this year.

You don't deserve to be called pleb, but someone will nevertheless.

I'm a fantasy fag tho so my opinion might not matter.

this, movies are shit

Ex machina, interstellar, the lobster, sicario, brooklyn

>War Dogs
>X-Men: Apocalypse

All mediocre at best and Interstellar wasn't even from last year.

>(you)
It's shit

It's shit

There's still a bunch of movies I need to see, but I've enjoyed this year. I'm being completely honest here. There was a lot of variety and fun options you just had to know where to look. Wasn't like last year where two big dumb sequels outshined everything else.

trash memes and beaten horse franchises

You have shite taste

None of those films are significant. You're the pleb for eating up casual film fan normiecore.

>Hail, Caesar!
>Deepwater Horizon
>Deadpool
>Criminal
>Money Monster
>Kubo and the Two Strings
I liked 'em.

7/10 story, but 10/10 technically.

One of my favorites this year

Wienerdog

so you just watch black and white foreign films you cant understand so you arent tied in with the scary normie boogyman?

Literally kill yourself. Fucking horrendous. Especially Deadpool, that stands as one of lowest points of capeshit and even the best capeshit movies are still shit.

I think you just don't understand Deadpool.

shut the fuck up you bitch

I will watch any film, but if the purpose of a film is to provide entertainment to people with only a casual interest in the medium, then there's a pretty low ceiling on how good it will end up being. For the record most of acclaimed black and white foreign films I have seen in recent years have been just as uninteresting as the fedoracore.

I liked the nice guys, so far it is the only one

...

Which film on that list that I called shit do you consider unacceptable to dislike? They're all so middle of the road that I can't imagine anybody having such strong feelings on them even if they personally enjoyed them on some level. If something like Hell or High water is now considered some canonized classic then this medium is a complete joke.

Not him, but it's just that saying "it's shit" is the laziest way to say you didn't enjoy a movie.

my man u just throwing (buzz) words around without any real justification or in-depth thought behind them. you didn't even see half of them and you expect me to take ur lbg-tier opinions serious?

I unironically enjoyed Hail Caesar.

Might be my MOTY

Not even the directors liked that movie

I didn't give opinions on any of the ones I hadn't seen other than the most obviously terrible ones. I mean something like Moonlight isn't even a film, it's a poisonous bullet of destructive ideology to be fired into the heart of the white race. You're right that it's lazy to dismiss a film in two words, but you should also know that no matter how many words you devote to defending films like these, they will all be wasted, because there is no argument that you could give to defend mediocrity like that on any compelling level.

>it's lazy to dismiss a film in two words
>dismisses the film with "no argument can defend them"

yeah that's much better..

...

>tfw mostly just read books now or watch very old movies

I only saw three movies this year.
Deadpool was not my style of movie. Didn't like it.
Zootopia was ok.
The Nice Guys was pretty funny, but it had a terrible plot.
Nothing spectacular

Kubo and the Two Strings and Dr. Strange was breddy good.

I enjoyed Cafe Society
These kinds of romantic dramas normally really agitate me

Absolute garbage taste

Batman v Superman
The finest hours
Love and friendship
The lobster
Shin Godzilla
Wiener Dog
Eddie the Eagle
Swiss Army Man
Miles ahead
Knight of cups
A hologram for a king
Kubo and the two strings
Being 17
Sully
Hell or high water
The arrival
Cafe society
Hacksaw ridge

Still looking forward to Voyage of Time and Manchester by the Sea

>swiss army man
>10 cloverfield lane
>neon demon
>the nice guys
>la la land
>hacksaw ridge

Green Room is a underrated masterpiece prove me wrong!!!!

Elle
Everybody Wants Some
Things to Come
Sieranevada
The Death of Louis XIV

And there's tons of stuff I haven't seen like Toni Erdman, Nocturama etc.

If you enjoyed a single one of those movies then you are the one with garbage taste.

>no
>no you're the one
>you're the one with shit taste

it's no doubt wishy washy and whatever the Coens opinion of their own effort, but the intentions and ideas behind the film feel more sincere than the overwhelming majority of the tripe hogwash called "cinema" we got this year

i liked 10 cloverfield lane

Zootopia
Captain America: Civil War
Finding Dory
The Nice Guys
Kubo and the Two Strings
Kung Fu Panda 3
X-Men Apocalypse
The Conjuring 2
Don't Breathe
10 Cloverfield Lane
Deadpool

Rated all these 7/10 or higher. What are you gonna do? Call me a pleb and think that will affect me in any way?

I'll call you a nigger instead

Not even Elle?

It's not for you, homie.

i just pity the one brain cell you have, he must get lonely
