What kodi addons do you use?

I use Transmission and private trackers and tpb

Exodus, which is pretty much netflix but with pretty much everything on it. When a new episode of something is released it's usually up in an hour or so. Can even create watch lists to keep track of shows

Then for live tv a combination of several add-ons with ivue tv guide
best ones i've found for this are phoenix, filmonTV and ccloud

Nothing wrong with it, it lacks capability for GPU-assisted video rendering trough software like madVR which you can add in more adaptive players like MPC-HC, but it's image quality is no worse than standard MPC-HC. 99,99% of the people who complain about it are just spouting a meme they don't even understand.

It's not the image quality that is the problem. It's the playback quality. It has poor quality seeking and it renders in a way that breaks easily.

VLC is not even meant to play video in the first place. It was a streaming software that had video playback added to it.

No idea what that is. I switched from VLC years ago because it was a mess on many videos and could break the image 10% of the time.

Went to mpc-hc and it worked fine but was missing features.

I use mpv now and it just werks.

You can use this thing called an icon editor to change what your icons look like to whatever you want. Want all your folders to look like a .jpg file? You can do that. Want all your .iso files to look like your custom MS paint tree drawing? You can do that. Want to switch over to a new media player but have all your media files still be a fucking pylon? You can do that. You could also directly edit the regedit instead, but I'm pretty sure you would end up deleting system32 by doing that.
