Post terrible special effects from film and TV
...
...
Every fucking time, I couldn't stop kekking for an hour when it was on tv.
Literally worse than comparable video games in 2010
OH SHIT. Ialmost spilled my drink. Havent seen this in a while.
...
that actually looked okeyish in 320x240 on vhs
>swan station
someone post that pic
you know which one
The original Ice Age was on TV the other day and man, has it aged like shit
I mean the textures are pretty good but the animations are so janky.
Like, if a character is not in the process of doing something, they move very little
Literal PS1 cutscene
...
inb4 blade 2
Wolverine Workprint, but is that cheating?
The Silver Surfer cameo was true kino
Why Dick, what long arms you have.
why did that happen?
...
...
Lost was GOAT.
Aww, how cuddly
...
...
do you know how mirrors work you fucking retard
that's his other arm
...
Are you really going to shit on pure kino from the 80's?
Robocop is great. That special effect is still rubbish.
The submarine scene is worse, but I couldn't find a good cap from it.
CGI was great but the composition was shit
...
kek this post actually made me laugh, i hope you were ironically posting this
Holy shit my side wing
...
For the 90s, that wasn't that bad....until the end when it became Syfy tier.
LOTR.
Why couldn't they just have the scorpion king as a badass fighter and have him mop the floor with JUST and imotep?
Straight outta 1997
...
Dude it came out the same year as Starship Troopers
these two and the matrix 2 scene come to mind
Why not just get a real tiger?
It's because you can't have them roar all the time?
Where's is this form
which Matrix scene?
It did not age well
...
...
...
Aww yes, workprint time
Step it up
Probably the multi-Smith fight.
...
The Wolverine Workprint is like an experimental art film really. Like watching someone try to do an Andy Warhol movie with superheros.
Come on, the workprint doesn't count, the effects aren't finished.
Oh wait.
...
...
That's pretty much what it end up looking like.
the fight with all the smiths
Is this what kino means?
I didn't Abrams tank turrents had the magic power of disappearing.
user
that gif isn't from the workprint, it's from the final film
I've played the ps1 game, it's a lot worse visually.
Now watch as I make this tank...disappear!
dropped the show after this
Teleport's behind you
I can't understand why they did this
What the fuck was Cameron thinking?
Well....I didn't say it was GOOD. Of course nothing looked as good as Starship Troopers back then, but for a regular action movie that just had a few CGI scenes thrown in, the first half of that webm is kind of what the standard was back then if you compare it to shit like Eraser, Bond, Executive Decision.
It looked like shit day 1.
What is this
Did you watch all two hours?
oh what memories.
Now consider something that already looked shit aging badly
I'm at 1:46:50. I'm going to finish this fucking thing. It is comfy as shit.
I mean, besides the whole thousands of people dead and stuff.
this one always cracks me up

Watch it on mute. Without the exciting music it is...interesting. The effects for the multiple Smiths are pretty inconsistent, but good god as soon as Neo grabs the pole the whole scene goes to shit.
My favorite part of the entire scene in at 3:20 in the first video where a Smith just fills with helium and slowly floats away for some reason. Watch for it.
Robertcop has arm enlarging bullets
More workprint?
She still ahs her bra on in the mirror though
Never mind wrong link

3:20 of Part 1, cracks me up.
...
Why was that scene in particular so bad? Did they forget to touch it up or something?
...
...
Didn't age well.
seagalkino
Why Arnold you look a little under the weather.
>Sleeping Dog graphics in 2000
Pretty impressive if you ask me
Also released in 1997
you think they reused the terminator muppet for most of the 90's?
TWOOOO WEEEEEEKS
>that
>bad
Drink bleach
What's wrong with this one?
>let's pretend it's amazing because it's old
lacey makes any scene beautiful
I don't know, the special effects required to create literally the hottest thing in cinema history at the time of 1997 are pretty damn impressive. I still don't know how they pulled it off, Penny was a work of art.
Tell me why it's bad then.
It looked like shit even at the time of release.
It looks like a phony mannequin head of Arnold.
