Leto will probably ruin it, with any luck he'll try to go method and drink battery acid to more understand what it's like to be a replicant

Incendies is the only thing good in nufinchers garbage list you've posted though
name 3 directors with a better average quality across a 5 movie combo
Prisoners was terrible.
Why did you exclude Polytechnique?
Also, why do his last 7 films all have one word titles?
Wow never would have expected such a contrarian opinion on Sup Forums - Television and Film of all places. Jee wizz.
Arrival was worse. Villenuve trying to ape Nolan and Fincher at the same time, and just being boring
Malick
Because like most of the plebs that praise this talentless hack they started with prisoners. The fact that he includes incendies is shocking.
Jared Leto is the greatest actor of our time.
>liking hacks
>being an atheist
It shouldn't be allowed to have this much shit taste
I hope so. There's a lot riding against it with them stating Deckards review of either human or android, the cast being made of up small potatoes actors, and the fact that post-Oscar Leto is in the movie.
But Deakins baby. At least of th broom is bad, it'll look fucking great.
Lynch

Mom has seen things you wouldn't believe
Was Incendies a movie about hot moms paying off their NEET sons with chicken tendies for sex?

As someone from Quebec, I'm very proud of Denis Villeneuve, he just keep getting better, he's beloved by his fans, his crew, his actor, the producer even his extra like me because he did a few scene in my buttfuck nowhere of a town. I like the guy since "Un 32 août sur terre" so rev up those subtitle Kino-lovers
He's about the only thing Quebec has to be proud of. What a shithole.
My fiancee is from Quebec. Thank you for exporting your QTs to guys like me down here in Trumpmerica.
Watch it, Chrissy.
Hey bro
Same here. Was pretty cool to see the UdeM when I saw Arrival.
We're doing pretty good lately. Will Pods be the next one to do big american projects? He's directing episodes of Viking at least last I heard.
Nolan
Name the movies, I want to have a laugh.
Enemy stinks
just because a movie is deep to the director doesn't mean I care to understand its meaning
I really really didn't like Sicario
It will be great, but he'll never top Incendies.
...
>he hasn't seen Maelstrom or Polytechnique
The guy's whole filmography is very good.
>THE INCENDIES WAS GOOD MEME
As a Mexican I didn't get the whole le-Juarez is le-scary vibe from it that everyone seems to get. The movie was just ok imo.
>not mention based Goose being in it
Do you think Villeneuve will have gosling as his go to leading man, that would be an interesting director/actor partnership
#TeamGyllenhaal
He's already taken by "Bravo" Refn.
Just watched Enemy last night. Fucking loved it.
Also really loved Sicario.
Prisoners was good but I didn't love it.
Liked Arrival a lot.
Is Incendies worth a watch?
Yes but don't expect it to be anything like those other four movies.
yea or cianfrance
I guess a lot of directors like working with him
It's weird he ditched Gyllenhaal for Goose, those two are around the same age and do the same kind of roles (good looking autists)
Must be a Canadian thing
Gyllenhaal is in his next movie.
Ape them how?
I thought it was pretty fucking awesome. I loved the aliens and their technology and language... the only issue I really had was the over abundance of news footage and the final reveal having some very confusing implications.
His streak of dogshit? I doubt it
Arrival is kino
Just read the synopsis - not particularly intrigued. Anyone read the book?
You'd think a movie about some loser misogynist shootin up a school would appeal to this crowd.
I don't like how easily Max Richter stuff pulls on my heartstrings, but I really like it anyway.
That's because you're used to having your family members get raped and murdered in the street, so of course a movie isn't going to shock you. That sort of shit doesn't happen in worthwhile countries.
It's a revenge movie. I've seen plenty of S. Korean revenge movies that were great, so I don't mind seeing Villeneuve's take on it.
Jean Marc Vallee has been making some decent movies lately. Fuck the haters, I loved Wild and thought Dallas buyers club was pretty dang good. C.R.A.Z.Y might be one of the best lgbqt movies made in the last 20 years.
Hmm. Word. Well yeah Villenuve plus Jake "Deflowered Swift and left her miffed" Gyllenhaal = a must watch
go into Incendies with very little knowledge of the film and it will impress the hell out of ya. I didn't even bother reading the title when I watched it on he movie network a few years ago. Shit is RAWWWW.
Yes, actually.
The script was mediocre at best, took the entire movie down from a 9/10 to a 7. Everything about the direction though. Villenvue is a name we're going to be hearing alot of in the coming years, although hes not an auter like Quentin Tarantino, so he has to rely on others to make a great film. When he does we can't ascribe the sucsess to him alone, its going to be his entire team that earned it. Hopefully a team thag will stick with him for a very long time.
Sicario was overrated 2bh
Absolutley. I just discovered Villenue with The Arrival and now I have to watch work through the reat of his filmography.
>average quality
Very apt description of this guy's work.
