It's nothing like the movies
Freaks & Geeks
Elephant.
It's pure Kino in its most esoteric form.
Not another teen movie

Pump Up the Volume
Say Anything has almost nothing to do with high school. They graduate in the beginning and the rest of the movie is about the summer after graduation.
Fast Times at Ridgemont Hight
It still feels very high school to me.
Anyways, the rest of the list is more applicable I suppose. I love the all regardless.
Dangerous Minds
The Substitute
The Principal
Lean on Me
Freedom Writers
Dazed and Confused
Juno
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.
>The Substitute, The Principal, Lean On Me
Great fuckin' choices.
omg forgot about The principal.
>ctrl-f
>no Napoleon Dynamite
this. one of the more realistic depictions
Yeah, I'm old.
Same here, brother. Well, in comparison to most here I'd assume.
It's great. My favorite Belushi film along with Red Heat.
My Bodyguard (1980)
Weird high school movie about bullies. Animal Mother from FMJ is in it and Matt Dillon is the bully bad guy. Lesser known but good movie.
I fucking love this movie, it's so good
Forgot my best friend is a vampire
DUDE I HAVEN'T MATURED PAST HIGH SCHOOL LMAO
The DUFF
Great movie
Is it lesser known? I thought it had a pretty big following.
Eitther way, great pick. Adam Baldwin is great in it.
Yep, you're right.
That's a solid one as well.
Ask 100 people on the street and I bet 95 or more of them don't know about this movie. It may be known somewhat by film and movie nerds, but to the general public, it is a forgotten movie.
Project X
Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess I never really thought about it much since I grew up with it.
That fucking film depresses me, maaaan.
Of course there are the obligatory '80s films:
Pretty in Pink
16 Candles
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
...
Donnie Darko
Three O'Clock High
