PTA and Thomas Pynchon BTFO

PTA and Thomas Pynchon BTFO

This surprisingly so much better than their effort.

Why would be thought the same director of one the worst marvel movies of all time would make a better film than PTA

It's a kids movie masquerading as an R movie

Fuck you. This movie is a piece of trash.

I liked Ryan Gosling in it.
I always like Ryan Gosling, though.

I wouldn't compare this to Inherent Vice. Both are detective comedies set in the 1970s but the similarities end there. The Nice Guys is a buddy cop movie that has a very straight forward plot, Inherent Vice is a stoner movie that has an extremely complicated/dense plot.

*Who would've

Shane Black thing is 80s buddy action movies.

Which is why I enjoyed it. Wouldve loved to watch this as a kid.

I'm definitely watching this with my daughter one day

Not really. As long as we can agree it's much more watchable than inherent vice

Nice Guys was written circa 2001.

Shane Black made a superior version of it in 2005.

This script was revived because of Gosling and the producer. I

Very true

Nice

>Doesn't explain why

>Inherent Vice is a stoner movie

This is one of the dumbest things i've read on here.

Explain why it's not. That's the presence Pynchon was capturing

Chill movie

just watched the first 50 minutes of this piece of garbage
I read that this is supposed to be a comedy? guess what, not even the slapstick scenes are funny
it also has some disgusting pedo shit in it where Gosling's 10 year old daughter watches porn with a prostitute and talks about anal sex
dont waste your time on this shit, its another one of those movies that get heavily shilled on this board and turn out to be 4/10

u a fag?

You'd have to be a huge faggot to hate him. Not a faggot like OP, though. OP is a special kind of faggot who thinks hating on PTA makes a sufficient bait.

Have you even read the book you pleb?

Inherent Vice's genre is surfer-stoner comedy noir, dude

I can't believe I wasted an evening watching this shit. I really wanted to like it but it just made me angry

I didn't hate it, I liked some portions a lot but I think the plot was a dud and wasted the chemistry Gosling, Crowe, and the kid had (yes I liked the kid, it was a good foil to Crowe's tough-guy character)

It's funny because I liked it so much I saw it several times in the theater, while sipping on large Pibb and eating large popcorn.
>tfw your theater stops selling superior Pibb and only sells Dr. Plebber now

You just got shilled into watching that crap, hopefully it's a learning experience

why does the crow looks like john goodman on this movie

This film is quite good, but holy fuck is it overrated
It's exactly the sort of film that I'm not surprised the meme-spouting marvel-loving generation loves

It will be forgotten within 5 years, max
It's not even in the same league as Inherent Vice

Are you comparing this to inherent vice? They're nothing alike.

Iron man III was the most enjoyable marvel capeshit since raimi spiderman and Shane Black is a cool guy.
