In theory every browser can be "fingerprinted". With a unique fingerprint they go to an advertising firm and get the "user profile" for the individual who matches that fingerprint, the profile is anonymised by design, so it doesn't directly tell you a name or an address, but a malicious party can perform one more step.

There has recently been a US voter data leak by an analytics firm which contains names, addresses and user profiles of 200m Americans. Those profiles are often unique and can be compared against the above advertiser's profile. If they get a match, they can say who made what post with relative certainty.
Fingerprint->Advertiser->Data leaker->Deanonymize

And don't assume your data is safe if you're not American, leaks can happen to anyone, and data lasts forever.
