That map overemphasizes wine usage in Germany.
We have 80% Beer consumption, 15% wine and 4% spirits
All French wine I drunk did taste of low quality.
>Bayern
>wine
Not sure how accurate that is. It's common use to have wine with pasta, meat or fish but beer is the choice of most people when it comes to recreational drinking.
I thought we have spirit usage. I've had way more spirits than beer when I grew up in North Germany.
Scandinavia = all of the above.
If it has alcohol we drink it.
Here's quantities map

wow, it's almost as if there are different regions in europe where either grains or grapes grow better and people amazingly have used what grows better for the unified reason of getting shitfaced

Teenagers and party goers in their 20s may drink vodka but the middle aged people with families which is the largest percentage of population drinks mostly beer.
I know from all the family meetings and restaurant visits and stuff these people mostly drink beer more than anything else and almost never vodka
They are Russians.

My parents, uncles, grandparents all drank more spirits. Korn, Köm etc
and whisky is better than all of them
Doesn't seems like a lot, I usually drink two bottles a week and drink more the weekend cause of family gatherings. I would have thought that French consumption would be higher.
