Italy

I travel every Christmas since no family or friends. This year I want to go to Italy.

Any recommendations? I was there once when I was very little.

I was thinking Rome and Florence. What do you think?

And of course: Any restaurant recommendations? (I'm thin but love food)

Rome wasn't first world tbqh, overgrown grass and bad hotels and whatnot. Plus they have water shortages atm. If you go, go to the roman forum and coliseum of course, but go see Bernini's stuff too, GOAT sculptor imo. And Florence is good for art history nerds it has David and Birth of Venus etc. Pic related was my favorite art piece (john the baptist BTFOing Antipas), it's in the accademia or whatever it's called.

For food I would recommend kebab. Italian food is overrated, the Americanized stuff is better.

Yeah, I heard about the water shortage. Will it still be a problem in the winter?

Should I go to Spain instead? That crossed my mind. I've been trying to learn Spanish, but was thinking of going to Spain next winter when my Spanish is further along (I've only been learning for a month).

:o(

>Will it still be a problem in the winter?
Not sure
>Spain
Again never been so I don't know. Good luck tho.

Listen up yank both are good in Winter, both are midly Cold in Winter, both are extremely filled with tourists both have meme restaurants for tourists. If you want some better experience go to Perugia or Urbino or napoli

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of. I like to travel but the tourist thing wears me out. I just did a pretty good trip to England where with enough research I as able to have a nice experience. It takes some work to figure out though.

Perugia, Urbino or Napoli huh? Thank you very much I'm going to research these!

Honestly I hope more tourists would visit lesser known places. For example, Salento is really beautiful and there are no tourist traps whatsoever

I mean maybe among the three i mentioned Napoli is the better One. However since you are coming from the other side of the Ocean Rome Is Mandatory Just Remember to book the tickets for the museums in advance

>I travel every Christmas since no family or friends.

holy shit, I thought I'm the only autist who does this
