Pretty common with people above the age of 30/40. Or with children from very conservative parents.

I'm from the North, but the names among catholics still tend to be pretty stereotypical, Seamus is sort of an outdated name though.
Patrick and Liam are both pretty common. Have 2 Patricks and one Liam living on my street.
The Spanish are pretty common then and now. spot on.

What are some stereotypical American names besides John?
My name is Nigel, it's not very common here though
Jason, Jack, Andrew, Bob
>Germany: Reinhardt, Johann, Wilhelm, Otto, Karl, Hans, Manfred, Helmut, Ludwig, Siegfried, Sigmund, Friedrich, Friedhelm, Franziska, Hilda, Hildegarde, Helga, Ingrid
common among grandfathers generation at the latest. naming you child most of these nowadays would be considered very weird. except manfred and JohannES
Juan, Paco, Jim-Bob, La'Quisha, Tyrone, Nevaeh, Bubba, La-A, Pedro, Zach, Ryan, and Jamal.
So there are still young Manfreds?
Very common, I've met at least 2 people for each of those names except Giovanni, I didn't met any with this but consider I'm not a person who likes to meet people nor socialize with others.
If an anti-social like me met persons with those names, they must be pretty common indeed.
Mike, Jacob, Dan, Jon, Ian
I've never met an Ian ever.
