Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975)
that being said, everyone needs to see it at least once
Why?
I saw this fucked up film about egyptian gods on modern day earth years ago. I don't remember the story but I do remember half of the characters being ps1 tier cgi, even some of the human ones.
Nikopol
it explores the human condition and evil and to an extent whether or not god exists, seriously go watch it now if you've never seen it
human centipede
It's uncomfortable torture porn that teenagers watch as some statement about their taste.
It's a misersble, pretentious slog but if you lap up cinematic diarrhea like The Holy Mountain I'm sure you can squeeze some enjoyment out of it.
YOU JUST KNOW
I just looked it up. It's called Immortal. One of the characters is called Nikopol though. Maybe it went by that title in other regions. Turns out it's french.
I didn't enjoy it, but I did appreciate it. I thought it captured the essence of power and the abuse of absolute power. There's little doubt that similar things, if not worse, have happened in real life performed by people with absolute authority.
Taxidermia (2006)
it's not foreign to me
Being John Malkovich
9.99 an Australian movie that didn't seem to have any point whatsoever. Absolute garbage.

Greasy Strangler
Shivers
Pretty standard sci-fi/slasher, but the singing and cast make it weird.
You guys can probably still outdo this.
Honestly, Batman VS Superman
The dream sequences within dream sequences, flashbacks that turned into dreams, people having vivid daydreams in the middle of walking in the middle of fucking nowhere for no discernible reason, and a villain who is clearly mentally retarded and nobody ever acknowledges it.
Truly a fever dream of a movie
Murder Party or Meet the Feebles
This
How the fuck did that get greenlight
Inherent Vice
I don't know if it's THE weirdest, but The Reflecting Skin is definitely up there.
Incredibly strange and dreamlike movie, think Days of Heaven meets Eraserhead. Unlike Jodorowsky (who I don't like much) its surrealism doesn't feel like a gimmick to confuse and shock the audience. The images are there to visually clarify the emotional horror of a disintegrating family from the perspective of a small child. Many sequences begin in a fairly realistic way but grow steadily more disturbing in their implications, then conclude in some nightmarish explosion that walks a fine line between beauty and anxiety.
It's a good film and features a great performance from Viggo Mortensen. If you haven't seen it, I guarantee some scenes will stick with you for a very, very long time
>no foreign movies
I'm not American
It's based on a comic titled Nikopol.
afaik that film is the history of hungary but since I don't know shit about that country I can't say I understood any of the symbolism.
It was still an enjoyable film though.
Again, it seems to have gone under another title here.
Gummo
Liquid Sky
Eraserhead
The Other Sister. Im not even fucking around its the most bizzare thing I've ever seen.
