How do you even play as the basques
...
Thank God that Castile guaranteed me day one and have him beat the shit out of Aragon
custom nations I think
fug need to add that to my grocery list
>custom nations
You could just start out as Navarre
yes I often like to play as micronations which are sandwiched between Spain and France, nothing could be more fun
>No CB Brittany
>No CB the Irish minors
>escape to the New World
>profit
America WILL be Basque
But it's LITERALLY impossible to survive the early game as Navarre
Awesome music.
You literally aren't trying hard enough
>he doesn't exclusively play as Theodoro
are Johnny
>Historian William C. Davis labels many of the myths surrounding the war as "frivolous" and included attempts to rename the war by "Confederate partisans" which continue to this day. He claims names such as the War of Northern Aggression and the expression coined by Alexander Stephens, War Between the States, were just attempts to deny that the Civil War was an actual civil war.[69]
Explain this, racists
>War Between the States
Except it was objectively a war between the states.
reminder that there is almost no precedent in historiography for using the term "civil war" to describe a war of secession
>hurr the 1848 Hungarian Revolution was actually the Austrian Civil War
>durr the American Revolution was actually the British Civil War
Historians are fucking hacks for allowing the term to be misused for so long for political reasons.
what kind you gonna get? buffalo trace here. first bottle of it I've bought, it's pretty good.
>1848 Hungarian Revolution
you mean the one where Henry Clay told them to fuck off because America thinks that Europe is on another planet
eh? Did they ask for financial aid from us or something?
I try to buy Virginian usually but it's not usually that good, so I might just forget about that. I'm not sure what's good but cheap, I'm not really swimming in cash at the moment so whatever's good and around fifty dollars.
>After Tsar Alexander II put down the 1863 January Uprising in Poland, French Emperor Napoleon III asked the United States to "join in a protest to the Tsar."[6] Secretary of State William H. Seward declined, "defending 'our policy of non-intervention—straight, absolute, and peculiar as it may seem to other nations,'" and insisted that "[t]he American people must be content to recommend the cause of human progress by the wisdom with which they should exercise the powers of self-government, forbearing at all times, and in every way, from foreign alliances, intervention, and interference."
Don't know how I got that mixed up with Hungary lel
We just opened the first (legal) distillery here since prohibition, I ought to get around to trying it one day
Woodrow Wilson was such a piece of fucking shit
>since prohibition
wew lad
>mfw they're based in Georgia and their only two products so far are vodka and orange flavored vodka
inb4 peach vodka
>not peanut vodka
injuns deserved it
what's the name of the distillery?
Ghost Coast Distillery.
We have a bar in town named "The Distillery" but it's just a bar.

>+92 relation
Fuq u cuntway im gonna whoop your tushie tonight
I prefer the term "Carpathian Civil War" (This sucks ass too btw)
And it wasn't a war of secession. We didn't declare independence until the second half of the war. It was about state rights and the autonomy of the Hungarian Crown and the Nobility.
whoops hahah
...
>Austria-Poland
what have you done
ftfy
>tfw no alternate history where the French monarchy escaped to Nouveau France and then continued the Kingdom of France in the Americas with Cajuns and Quebecois
that flag is sexy as fuck
that literally happened in brazil
en.wikipedia.org
reminds me of my game where i PU'd france and spain as catholic ottos :')
I think there were plans to move the British monarchy to Canada if the Germans succeeded in the Battle of Britain too.
time to go
>to work
we are doing a eu4 mp tonight you should join us
around what time do you want to start?
im currently just waiting for everyone to be online atm.
it would be nice if we could start in 3-4 hours or so
Florida sucks Mississippi sucks Alabama Sucks Texas Super sucks
Turkey is the greatest nation on erf
I could be available in around four, maybe five hours. I have some demolition to do in my grandparents house first. I hope we can start in the afternoon our time here though and not at six or something but who knows, this place is always kind of dead until around that time.
yeah im guessing in 5 hours aswell
ill make sure to wait for everyone to be available
i didnt buy any dlcs past cossacks though. i dont play the game anymore as well i am having a bit burnout from grand strategies after couple of hundreds of hours invested in pretty much all of them.
I don't think it matters if a few people join late, if we're only playing on 2x speed like last time.
its alright.
In mp if the host has all the DLC's it gets distributed to all the other players, meaning even if you only have the base game, if the host has all the DLC's you will get those dlc's aswell.
We have a couple on newbies with us aswell so its not going to be anything competitive.
it might be a little shitty if we play with custom nations like last time and people get to make theirs after a couple of years.
But i guess we could start before 1-2 guys
thanks for the offer but i ll still pass, i dont want to play grand starts, at least for some time.
I like hispanics desu
>said they were gonna play around 5 EST
>"lol let's play in an hour"
What the fug
Five is fine if its when everybody's available.
I mean, I'll probably be available a bit before.
Do I need to add the Turk?
im currently monitoring everyone so if you could add me that would help

Just finished reading A Canticle for Leibowitz last night y'all, pretty good book
>there's an empire based out of Texarkana
faget
>tfw
the liquor barons welcome you
>tfw you will never embark on a crusade to defend the Oregon Country from the nomad hordes
Can I get a quick rundown on this book?
I do declare
Right so the premise is that in the 20th century, the world gets nuked back to the middle ages and the survivors start targeting the intelligentsia and elites, blaming them for the war
The Catholic church creates a bunch of monastic orders to preserve the knowledge from the last civilization.
And so the book follows the history of the Order of Leibowitz as they carry out this duty while the world essentially goes through the same cycle it did in our own last 1000 years.
Just read the synopsis, that sounds pretty neat
If I had been Catlick I would have liked to have been a Cardinal.
Orthodox>>>>>>>>>Everyone else
Stinky dumb Byzantine scum
...
never too late to repent, schismatic
Sounds really neat, might have to check that one out
>only cuntway is online
where the fuck are you people
you're stuck with me sweaty :3333
working on some renovations for my grandparents' house, but I'm done pretty soon. It's early in the day here.
Taking my girlfriend to work
das gay
drinking away my sorrows of course
Do some chad posting
That will make you feel better
Kind of wish I could be a Catlick, I went to a service when I moved here, the church was beautiful but the service is too low church for me
I'd definitely go if there were Latin services within driving distance
I also wish I'd checked out the Episcopalian church, but the Methodists already ordered a choir robe for me.
>Methodist
At least you aren't Baptist
I joined the Methodist church almost exclusively for the musical tradition, honestly
I agree about the Baptists, though, megachurches are absolutely degenerate
Still salty about the Second Vatican Council, though, would definitely be Catholic if not for that
I unmemingly attend the local Orthodox Church
Grew up Baptist. Went to a megachurch ONCE. Worst church experience of my life.
Ruskies OUT
It's Greek Orthodox :^)
Okay I'd say another 45 minutes until I'm finished here.
>tfw Home Depot is probably going to try and charge you an extra day for the tile remover you rented because you didn't return it by 2:30
More like Home Israel
>Still salty about the Second Vatican Council
There's a church for that lol
Vatican II was a mistake
I've thought about going to an SSPX church before, but honestly they're generally pretty far away and really underwhelming. The main appeal for Catholicism in my opinion, is the splendor of it. I'll probably go to a Latin mass one day though.
From what I understand, the Episcopalian church really is the best choice for someone seeking a traditional high church experience. Might as well just go there if you're going to say the Pope is a heretic, unless their moral opinions are really what matters to you.
>splendor
just go to an Orthodox church, ya peepeehead
...
Are there still Anglicans in the US?
There's some in the northeast
maybe, what's the music like these days? traditional? Honestly I still do have a preference for Latin church aesthetics
also Protestantism has choirs I can join, which is a big plus
There are some directly Anglican churches in the US, yes
but the Episcopalian church is the official American branch of the Anglican communion
