for you

it's a better sci-fi movie than it is a horror movie

What can even contend with it?

But it wasn't even scary.
>ahh an alium that crawls out of ur chest wow so scurry
>ahh a thicc Frieza in 3rd transformation is trying to eat us noooo

The only scary thing about the movie is that no one has banged the alien yet.

Is there a reason why its head is so long, besides Giger's penis obsession?

the inner set of jaws is actually several miles long and wraps around inside the carapace like a firehose

The Thing
The Exorcist
Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Sinister
Insidious
Paranormal Activity

big brain and long tongue

Definitely one of the best. For some people its too old though, they can't get into the old, grittiness of the movie and just write it off as a b-movie.

It's one of the best for sure.

it was until Prometheus came along and completely destroyed all the mystery about the alien ship and the back story.

>Is Alien the best horror movie ever made?
It's not a horror flick.

The Thing or 28 days later are horror films, which were also infinite superior to Alien. Alien is pleb slosh meant for mass consumption by normie audiences with shallow intellectual capacity. It is in no way a kino or "best film" within the horror genre.

>28 days later

zombiefags are the worst

Not zombies.

Better film and concept than Alien.

nope. the scariest horror movies are the ones that can actually happen to you.

Threads is the king.

Zombie snobs are even worse. yes its a fucking zombie movie.

>concept
>DUDE NOT DEAD ZOMBIES THAT CAN RUN FAST LMAO

They're not dead, so they're not zombies. That is the end of the conversation.

t. Zombie Snob

Ok, but they're still not zombies.

No fuck you, alien3 was shit lol

The shining.

>formerly normal humans who are now feral Maneaters
>spread by biting and infected body fluids
I guess left 4 dead isn't a zombie game, world War z isnt about zombies, and neither is any of the thousands of zombie stories about a virus. Fuck off, it's a fast zombie movie.

2001

heres the entry in Zombiepedia for 28 Days Later.

your status = BLOW THE FUCK OUT.

The Shining?

Zombies aren't inherently undead. In reality, they're drugged up people being bossed around.

Virus kills, then reanimates you = zombies.
Virus makes you act like a zombie = similar, but not zombies. The defining factor is undeath, otherwise really drunk people are zombies.

>It's not a horror flick.
>superior to Alien

There's nothing sci-fi about it, really. It's just an action movie with space monsters.

As a sci-fi it's fantastic, as a horror not so much. Overall it's good but overrated, The Thing shits on it all over the place. We literally get zero on-screen deaths in Alien, don't count those tricky/cutty scenes with the nigger and Osment pls.

This guy has it right, that's the origin of the term
This guy is trying his best to argue semantics but is doing so from a completely wrong position. He is also a faggot.

No
Are you 12?
This guy is on the right track.
it's a thriller, hardly any horror

Don't give me that voodoo slave shit, you both know we're talking about zombies in the Romero sense. That's like if I said 'someone pale with a Transylvanian accent isn't a vampire unless they drink blood' and you came back with 'w-well originally they were just spirits who pranked their families in the woods so fuck you'. Have some self-respect, come on now.

Is Alien the best sci-fi movie ever made?

top 5 for sure

Shutter is unironically the best horror ever. Original Thai version, of course. That girl was eerie. Rings and Ju-on follow. Gooks know it's about psychology, not the gore.

not even the best sci fi horror hybrid

>it's not a zombie movie cause they're not technically undead.
Gtfo you dummy

So you're saying let's ignore the root of the word in favor of a contemporary "definition" from pop culture? Fantastic, I'll draw from the recent popular zombie media wherein creatures referred to as zombies are former humans who now eat people and spread their condition via bitingredients and bodily fluids, while lacking higher cognition.
Congratulations, you played yourself.

That game was great

Yeah, 'former', like I said in the first place.

You do realize the word zombie comes from the voodoo word zombi right? Voodoo zombies are still alive (and they're real) and they still call them zombies. Your argument is as weak as your soul.

Alien was only noteworthy for it's innovative special FX and aesthetic FOR IT'S TIME. It was not conceptually great, or impactful. It is shallow, and hallow. It is also not a horror flick. Jump scares are low-brow unimaginative ways of creating suspense. It's poor writing.

Compare to similar movies made during era, like "They Live" which still holds up conceptually based upon the merits of the storyline. What's the story of alien? "Something" is within a confined space and out to kill the protagonist? This is Friday the 13th tier depth of story. Pleb shit for plebs. Precisely why it's pop-culture but ask anyone WHY they think it's so great... *crickets*

The Thing fan here. Which other sci-fi horror is better than Alien?
