Why is this the only good anime?

Why is this the only good anime?

Lain is boring shit and you're a faggot

What do you mean buddy?

it's not meant to entertain ADHD underage weebs like you

And you don't seem to understand

It's not that great after you grow up and realize its premise is stupid.

Less bumping, more reporting for off topic. Okay, newfaggot trash?

Thats not LOGH

>its premise is stupid
um no. It is as relevant today as it was back then. You can't even say this about most of the best films out there

how the fuck does anime manage to have the best space sci-fi

Its easy to make anime sci-fi since you don't have to do expensive CGI

Well op?

>LOGH

Ah yes, the fedora of anime

No, that'd be [insert moeshit of the month here]

actually bebop and FLCL are the only good modern anime. there's also some good shit from the 80s

The characterization and storytelling of LoGH alone blows most other space sci-fi out the water.

It's not even alone, there's also Crest of the Stars which had exceptional characters/setting and probably would have challenged LoGH had it been able to continue.

bebop and FLCL are over 20 years old, friend

Literally a Nazi propaganda. Wow. This series shows perfectly how the Japanese don't understand the history of Europe.

you need to watch trigun, its like bebop but with a plot and interesting

>Only good anime

Nigga Watamote is pure kino (no memeing).

>relevant
relevant to what? It's a soup of armchair speculation, alien conspiracy theories, and a complete misapprehension of Jungian psychology.

>lain
>not taking an interesting idea and shitting on itself

It's mediocre. You are just impressed because it's long and it gives itself an air of maturity.

Well it was written in the 1980's. I wouldn't call it nazi propaganda though

You haven't even seen it

>cinematic
>not kinographic
dropped

It's using the same tropes the conservative right and NSDAP used to describe the Weimar Republic and modernity in general.

>that the illness of society needed a drastic treatment
Let me guess, a dictator and strong authoritarian (totalitarian) rule?

Old Mobile Suit Gundam and Cowboy Bebop is all I liked.

>old MSG

Did you follow up all the way through the timeline till you hit Char's Counterattack?

>Let me guess, a dictator and strong authoritarian (totalitarian) rule?

Wait, so you haven't seen it and are talking shit?

>conservative right
>totalitarian
They're the opposite and want to cut down on government. Conservatives only ostracize people they dislike.

>It's using the same tropes the conservative right
The man talking decries conservatism you dope. Stop posting.

I think you should read a bit more about conservatives during the Weimar Republic. Your understanding of this term is incredibly simplistic.

Which is even more weird.

>conservatism took the place of progressiveness
>people lost sight of their fundamental values
Then what kind of conservatism was this?

Conservatism isn't just a politikol term you gobol. It's an actual word.

>I think you should read a bit more about conservatives during the Weimar Republic.
'Conservative' is specific group of people you want to randomly label as such.
>Your understanding of this term is incredibly simplistic.
You don't need an entire historical narrative to have a proper definition of a word.

>is
*isn't*
fug

Lain is the best anime, followed by Texnholyze

>averse to change or innovation and holding traditional values
>(in a political context) favouring free enterprise, private ownership, and socially conservative ideas.
German conservatives were mostly the military circles, junkers and business magnates. They were interested in establishing some sort of dictatorial rule or reestablishing the monarchy.

no far from it. however, Japan for the better part has failed to produce works of art compared to the West after all this time. I'm still hoping that they'd be able to catch up but i'm starting to lose hope

Thank you :)
Anime nerds in this thread talking about their obscure mecha bullshit, Lain is simply the best. Period.

>t
What's the top pic in the anime column? Looks cool.

Lain
Texhnolyze
Ergo Proxy
Tatami Galaxy
Space Dandy
Ghost Hound
Le Portrait de Petit Cosette
Akage No Anne
Future Boy Conan
Flowers of Evil
No Longer Human
Fooly Cooly

Etc...just lurk more on Sup Forums, there's plenty of great anime around not only Lain and it doesn't even take a minute to find out. Also most of these mentioned above are a handful of seasons long at most.

Sally the Witch is a masterpiece.

sally the bitch

End of Evangelion

Ideon: Be Invoked

It's what End of Evangelion mainly copied 1:1

Something, something, technological singularity.

I didn't get it and I feel like a pleb because of it. Mind explaining what it was about? The opening is top tier though.

This is bait, right?

Boring as fuck. I can think of several cerebral anime that are at least more interesting or action packed

Haibane Renmei was better

K
I
N
O

And you don't seem to understand

The list of good animes is as follows:

Cowboy Bebop

Haibane Renmei

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (SPECIFICALLY the 2006 series and the Movie)

Cromartie High School

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency

and, very soon,

Little Witch Academia

Everything thing else is above-average at best.

>he's a Sup Forumsedditor who doesn't know anything beyond entry level

LOL

I liked watamote. I kept up with the Manga until she had friends and the entire premise was lost.

Never been to Sup Forums. Kys

>Space Dandy

Opinion discarded.

bump again

>the only good anime
Dude. I loved SEL, but there is a shitton of good anime.

t. Sup Forumseddit

Lain? more like Lame

>DiU not KINO

Opinion discarded

Will we ever see another genius like Satoshi Kon?

cadens favorite anime

there's nothing quite like lain but if you like lain there's lots of other anime you'd probably like
