Same chord, different voicings?

Three C9's in first inversion?
Is it an overwatch joke?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mu_chord

root position* woops

Name three songs that use one of these.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steely_Dan_discography

It’s not very complex or anything desu it’s just a sus2 that keeps the third

It's not a sus chord if there's a third, sus chords are ambiguous.

>it’s not a sus chord
You’re right, it’s a mu chord. I guess I could have said it’s *like* a sus2 that keeps the third.

hahaha the joke is that op is a pretentious faggot! AHAHAHA

It's a Cadd2 in this case

full version here

Lol, get it?

is this loss

haha yeah that system is so bad looooool

Name 1 (one) thing that’s pretentious about this post

this is almost as retarded as that website trying to make chromatic staffs a thing

Yeah yeah go on bragging about some useless shit you had to learn which has no applicable use except for dick swinging on 4 chan.

the only thing retarded in theory is that B is a semitone away rom C, same with E and F

oh, and that the staff does not reflect this.
This concept is important in music, but it is behind the scenes in your standard notation.

possibly, I wouldn't know. The key is its not as retarded as the outmodded current system of musical notation. I'm working on a better system that better relates functional harmony. Of course I know nobody will use any of these objectively superior systems and continue to learn the baroque insanity of standard musical notation but hey, that's no skin off my nose.

>sus chords are ambiguous.
you could even say...theyre sus

...

>can't learn how to read music
>the system must be broken, not me

I don't need to be a musician, nor an artist for that matter in order to create a better system of communicating 12 distinct values and their spatial relation to one another. In fact given the current standard, I merely have to not be retarded to do that. Come up with one advantage the musical staff has over my system.

Afraid you would be wrong there. I can read sheet music and this is how I know how remarkably byzantine it is. Yes, its possible to read sheet music. The mere possibility for the human mind to utilize the system by no means makes it a good or efficient system.

Theory memes thread?

...

>learning how to read music

who gives a shit?

...

C9 has 4 tones minimum, it must include the 7th but can also contain the 5th.

being able to read and play sheet music is something
i desperately want to learn how to do.
It gives you more credibility when you vocally analyze
music.

if anything your post makes you a basic level music snob.

>desperately want to be able to do

Its not exactly something that is a pipe-dream. Its just like learning any language, especially Finnish.

massively underrated joke

i don't get it

Reminder, the fifth is the least important part of any chord.

Burden of proof. What are the perceived advantages of your gay system?

1) minimization of memorization: you have to commit to memory practically nothing to use the system

2) localization of information regarding the pitch: a note will always be on the line/space 4 away from its last instance

3)heuristics: Regardless of what key a piece of music is in a certain arrangement of intervals will have the same local configuration in every instance.

4) Not an advantage but rather something that is maintained. This system takes up about the same amount of space and has the same number of discreet positions as the original musical staff
