1) minimization of memorization: you have to commit to memory practically nothing to use the system
2) localization of information regarding the pitch: a note will always be on the line/space 4 away from its last instance
3)heuristics: Regardless of what key a piece of music is in a certain arrangement of intervals will have the same local configuration in every instance.
4) Not an advantage but rather something that is maintained. This system takes up about the same amount of space and has the same number of discreet positions as the original musical staff
