I miss Ireland, boys

>tfw too poor to visit again
>tfw cant wait to be back in my aunts seaside town and go around pubs drinking with my friends

How do I get an Irish citizenship? Do I have to trick a qt Irish into marrying me?

>alarm goes off
>eyes open
>fuck
>I want to die

Things like this make me feel happy I don't have to feel that feel any more.

You'll have to return to work someday user.

Perhaps, but I can still enjoy the present.

Goodnight lads

Have you even gone to bed yet?
Hello

If I have this is an unusually boring and vivid dream. Yesterday I went to bed around 10am and woke up at 5. This is an annoying sleep pattern to have since it means I miss out on a lot of the daytime posts and have to wait for things to pick up in the evening, and then I'm left doing nothing all night.

Do you have an Irish grandparent?

I know the feeling, but sometimes it's comforting staying up all night just playing games and watching streams.

Speaking of dreams I had a weird /éire/ related dream last night, it was really gay: We had an /éire/ meetup and there was like 5 of us there. We were showing off our painted toe nails, mine weren't painted but two peoples were pink and black.
There was also a black guy there and we were all really drunk and flirty.
Also we went to some beach in Dublin, but it was more like woodstown beach in Waterford
>beaches on rivers
(pic related, btw never swim in the river suir its filthy).
Also there was somebody looking for the Xanax factory in Kilkenny but it closed down.

It was a really stupid dream.

>/éire/ ever meeting up in Dublin
That's the most unrealistic part of your dream.

But user, that literally happened already many years ago.

> come home at 6 in the morning
> the construction workers next-door start working at 8 o'clock

That's what ya get.

Feel tempted to buy a Switch again

I can only recommend the console up until now, might actually go and buy the splatoon game later today if I feel like it

What games do you have for it? Other than Zelda I presume.

Zelda,Street Fighter and Mario Kart, not much I know but I've been happy with all of them

Oh and Disgaea 5

>Mayo win the replay
>Tyrone defeat de dubs
>Final is a draw
>Mayo win the final replay

it is written.

When did luxlad arrive to /éire/, and what drew him in? Why is he a weeb but for Ireland?
Is it because he's s delinquent and attracted to the Irish image?
We need to document the lore.

That's not bad for a few months, Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade 2 are out soon as well and both look really good.
Did you play much of Disgaea 5?

Don't get my hopes up

As I've explained multiple times,I just like the irish

>Did you play much
Not really desu,it's a nice game but not something I can keep on playing for days, mostly just 1 game every now and then.

Did the Switch price go down or why are you thinking about buying one now?

>As I've explained multiple times,I just like the irish.
Woah passive aggressive baka.

Are those wasps the Rangers killers?

>Did the Switch price go down or why are you thinking about buying one now?
I've been undecided on it for a while, was going to get it at launch but decided it was too close to Persona 5 and left it until later. Then it's been out of stock for months but I just noticed Smyths have it now.
I still have a backlog I want to get through first but I want one before the end of the year and I'm a bit anxious they could become hard to get around christmas.

Paired with the fact that Luxembourg doesn't have a /gen/ and I really don't want to join the p*latines and other krauts or the frogs or the cheeseheads

Why talk to people from countries that you know everything about if you can just talk to people from a country that I didn't know much about before I came here?

Yup,it's quite a good year for local football I must admit

>I'm a bit anxious they could become hard to get around christmas
You can always just call and tell them to keep it for you

I'd buy it if they already released a VC. I have to buy Lylat Wars and Mario 64 for the 80th time again

Good morning.

Was that Poi or Prinz that was lewdposting on /bant/ last night?

Reading comments on the journal.ie makes me want to drive my head through a wall.

...

Why are Crumliners so racist?

>have a working Switch
>don't have a working tablet controller thing
It's been this way for years. Even if I just get games that I can play without the tablet, I still won't be able to change things like internet settings, so I won't be able to play online. Recently I've just been using it to play Wii games.

I'm afraid that you're mixing up the Switch and the WiiU

Feck, so I am. I'm tired and thought Switch meant Wii U.

They changed it with updates a while back so you can use the pro controller to access settings, I don't even use the tablet controller anymore unless it's splatoon.

But my internet settings are for an old router that's been gone for years so I'd need the tablet to get those updates

Oh right, good point. That was a really big design oversight from Nintendo to not have that as standard.

When's the hurling final and also the football final?

his name is viper but he has a cobra on his t-shirt hahaha

the so-called irish "craic" as it were

Was it on the congratulatory comments for the science teacher who physically beat a 60 year old janitor in order to remove a Virgin Mary statue from their school?

>lewdposting on /bant/ last night?
Not me. Don't know why someone even made a /bant/ thread last night.

>comments on the journal.ie
The leftie comments, the rightie ones or both?

>When's the hurling final and also the football final
Same time as every other year. First and third Sundays of September respectively.

No it was on a different one but it honestly doesn't matter what article it's on. The commenters there are like boards.ie tier cancer multiplied by 100.

Fucking hell Donegal really got destroyed.im surprised it's not being blow up even bigger in the news.
55000 chickens lost and thousands of other animals, houses washed away completely.
Was listening to it on the radio today.

>this is a thing

Hope this is a rural area and he gets the boycott treatment, or the duracell socks.

>The leftie comments, the rightie ones or both?
They're all equally infuriating.

At least they're giving honest views, however extreme they might be.
Just looking at the Trevor Deely thread on After Hours has quickly reminded me how insufferable boards was.

>Mod warning in the thread title instructing everybody to read a list of rules before participating. The rules include "No hurtful speculation". It helpfully includes an example of hurtful speculation "I think Trevor was a homosexual IT nerd and tried picking up a prostitute which went badly and the pimp bitchslapped him to death. - This is NOT ok"
>The 3rd post is a plea for everyone to discuss the topic respectfully as if she's speaking to a pack of children when the average age of that community must be in its 40s by now. It was thanked 107 times.
>The 5th post was deleted by the moderator. The deletion is thanked 6 times
>Someone else turned up to encourage anyone with information to call crimestoppers (also provides the number) rather than post it here. Again treating people like children and trying to prevent interesting discussion in the thread. Thanked 18 times.
>Then there's a string of images hosted on an expired photobucket account which are obscured even though they were just posted a few months ago.
>Thread somehow has over 7500 presumably all of people playing detective and cautioning anyone from posting something of significance.

I don't think it gets any worse than this, no doubt if the thread got too spicy it'd be locked in an instant.

The teacher was given a verbal warning.

The only acceptable position is burning the heretic at the stake.

The idea that everyone should have a say is ridiculous.

Until he's out on the streets and spat on in the street until he's forced to fuck off to Dublin or England, it's no good.

>The idea that everyone should have a say is ridiculous.
The problem with the Internet age is that it has convinced everybody that they have an opinion worth listening to.

Absolutely, I agree, my fellow anonymous internet poster.

>The idea that everyone should have a say is ridiculous.
I like it, it provides perspective to an article and whether the general public believe it to be biased, misinformed or whatever.
The days of listening to Dobbo saying something and accepting it as fact are long gone.

>The days of listening to Dobbo saying something and accepting it as fact are long gone.
That is very true, and it's definitely opened up more avenues for good while closing avenues for bad, it's just that instead of Dobbo and a message set from the top are increasingly set by clickbait articles written by 20-something females Dobbas competing with each other for leftist brownie points. It takes more effort to get outside the media-created world at the same time as people are drawn deeper into it.

I read a book called "Understanding Media" by Marshall McLuhan a while back, it is insightful as to how modern society has developed and is going to develop now that the written word and even the relatively static or self-contained world of images is being replaced by a more complete artificial media environment.
In the past, absorbing more and newer information had a greater return on investment, but now there's diminishing returns from that and it's all about being able to "swim" through information and experience as it's coming towards you, and to exercise judgement in what information you take in.

>a Dobba is a female Dobbo
Learn something new every day.

Does this make Dobby the plural form?

It's not the political speculation I'm pissed off about in this instance. It's the fact that they seem to be fucking know it all keyboard warriors when it comes to discussing other people's jobs or life circumstances.
The ignorance is astounding sometimes.
It's been worse in previous articles but I'm still mildly bothered.
Almost feel like creating an account to slap them back to reality but I think these kinds of people are just sad bastard's who won't get it.

>. It's the fact that they seem to be fucking know it all keyboard warriors when it comes to discussing other people's jobs or life circumstances.
Ever been to reddit? It's like that, but a million times more self-righteous and smug. I never understood why Sup Forums seemed to collectively hate reddit so much until I went there myself.

>Almost feel like creating an account to slap them back to reality
They can't be slapped back to reality. The only thing that would slap them into reality is if the media environment in which they live turned against them, which won't happen because 98% of them are uselessly boring and plain and the other 2% are forgettably boring, at most like small-time criminals in the papers.

No.
Los Dobbos, Las Dobbas.

Yeah. Your number 1 mistake is going to any of the default or large subs. They're so bad.
There are some good smaller niche subs.
I think every community to an extent to guilty of this kind of shit quality.
It's like going to Sup Forums. Or youtube comments. Or even worse fucking liveleak comments
It's why I like small places like Sup Forums. To be fair though the shit we come out with at times is a sight to behold.

>Or even worse fucking liveleak comments

>Top 100 PC games judged on todays standards

Thoughts?

Didn't mean to quote

Eh, a lot of these things are like lists of good games to play, this one just seems more like that. I do appreciate the inclusion of games that were great for the time and good still.

I know, last post in the thread and all that.

>No Barkley: Shut Up and Jam Gaiden or Yume Nikki
>They're barely even covered under the Weird Games only Weirdos like heading at the end
Shit list desu.

>most of a game is hard but fair
>final boss is cheap artificial difficulty bullshit
Fucking Furi

That mostly happens when games either don't have enough mechanics to add something new for the boss, or doesn't scale the difficulty well.
What's worst is when they give a boss quick-time events. Putting a horde of enemies in place of a boss is only slightly better, and even then, it had better be done differently than regular horde battles (such as giving you over-powered skills for the duration of that battle).

>tfw sudden urge to play Vanquish

I saw that, Lux.

What's it like having to buy from Germany's Amazon? And what is that "book"?

>having to buy from Germany's Amazon?
Well both the German and French amazon ship here but the German products are oftentimes just amazon.com products with weird google translated texts

German amazon ships here as well, I've got a few things from it.

>Well both the German and French amazon ship here
Best of both worlds then. Here we get most of the benefits the UK Amazon provides, but not all. So long as NI gets cucked out of them too it's not so bad.

>just amazon.com products with weird google translated texts
Some old books I've looked for were computer-scanned from out-of-print books and reprinted with very little input on cheap paper. If there are amazon.com English language products being auto-translated into German it's probably cheap cash-grab companies trying to scam people, because most big books should have authorised translations done by hand. It's not amazon themselves who cheaply auto-translate, is it?

What would you get?
Apart from computer parts the only things I've heard of being unique/better value shipped from Germany are German language books (damn I wish I could read) and the occasional specialist thing from small German companies.

>bought some things on the internet
Fascinating story. Do go on.

>Best of both worlds
Except for the fact that we still have to pay for international shipping and that amazon fire tv doesn't work here

>So long as NI gets cucked out of them too it's not so bad.
Why don't they get the UK benefits?

I'm not sure if it applies to everything, but NI requires shipping across the sea, meaning they can't just throw it in to the governmental post and have them drive it to the customers, they have to take it on a boat or plane, and heavy or dangerous items can't be taken on planes most of the time.

>we still have to pay for international shipping
What? How much does it cost?
It's probably not customs stuff because of the EU, so what is the problem?

>What would you get?
They used to sell R4 flash cards for running pirated DS games which weren't on the UK store at the time. German specific stuff like Bundesliga merchandise as well.

>So long as NI gets cucked out of them too it's not so bad
What? Are you trying to say that you like that NI don't get free delivery or something?

>Are you trying to say that you like that NI don't get free delivery or something?
Yeah.

That's such a random fact to celebrate and also wrong.
They do have free delivery with the same terms and conditions as the rest of the UK. I get my stuff shipped to NI with Prime and it always arrives the next day.

Well I tried it once, it didn't work (admittedly it wasn't shipped by Amazon).

What's preventing them from offering us the same terms?

>wake up two hours ago
>only able to pull myself out of bed now

>What's preventing them from offering us the same terms
No idea. Might be that the companies supplying the products don't want to do it.

How does NI get cucked out of them? I often get things shipped to a post office over the border because shipping is much cheaper than getting it to the Republic. The Republic are the ones getting cucked. Just today my sister was SCAMMED out of €10 by An Post under the guise of "customs charge" because she made the mistake of getting something delivered to our actual address

>friends

We (either Ireland or Ireland and the EU) should prevent that.

Very surprised honestly, I thought they charged them for the transport. I bought twice from non-Amazon sites to an address in NI and had to pay shipping, tried to buy once from Amazon but had shipping.

>should prevent that
>more laws
>impeding the free market
Alright Corbyn. Whatever you say.

Nevermind, I was wrong. I hate this spellcheck sometimes. I tried switching to the non-yank english but that was missing a ton of words.

That's a bit sad a charity going across the globe for charitable work has zero subscribers.

We live in an unfair world. In this day and age there seems to be so many Irish charities competing with each other, I don't know how they all keep going given the relatively small population of Ireland.

>I don't know how they all keep going given the relatively small population of Ireland
Guilt tripping old people. Seriously it should be a crime to take advantage of people like some of them do.

Hi.
