firearms are legal in europe though, just heavily regulated and limited to bolt action rifles and shotguns in most countries, except switzerland which is pretty lax on it.

We don't have many terrorists but we do get some. On the other hand, other first world countries don't have gang violence like we do. The bottom line is that every country has its problems and the way to deal with them is rarely as simple as you're wanting to make it.

This, the real reason why we have so few terrorist attacks is twofold:

1. We have very few Muslims (only 3 million in the whole country, less than 1% of the population).
2. When somebody murders 10+ people with a gun, we don't call that terrorism. We call it a "tragic incident".

And since clapistan is one of the few places in the world to recognise peoples' right to defend themselves, people carry and use guns to that end, resulting in perpetrators being ventilated, which again is counted in the "gun deaths" figure, despite it being a positive thing. So again, how is it a relevant metric?
