Japan

Something like Jipun or Yipun, in which I have no idea if it was derived from Nippon or Japan.

Nippon or Japan?
German or Deutsch?
Finland or Suomi?
Random name given to them by Anglo or name in which the locals prefer?

Jaapan

Jepang.

日本 is spelled as Zi-pang (or Je-pang or something like that I forget) by southeast chink. We (malay archipelago people) used that name as your name (we indon still call you Jepang though instead Japan) and later portugal took it as your name which became Japan since it's hard for them to pronunce Zi-pang or something.
