They should pass an amendment making birthright citizenship conditional on the parents having legal permission to be in the U.S. and then another one denying the right of illegals and their children from being allowed to benefit from public services, like public schools. There's no political appetite to do this. This problem exploded in the 80s, and everyone knew what was going to happen. Mexicans breed a lot, and they ghettoize, but we needed cheap labor, so both parties looked the other way. Now, half the country will be Hispanic/Mexican by 2050. Even if you put that amendment now, it won't stop that demographic change from happening, just with the people already inside. It's too late.
