Getting ready to watch Bug and My Son My Son What Have Ye Done, a couple of his older ones.

How do you guys feel about this dude? What's your favorite performance? He's up against the guy from Moonlight for Best Supporting Actor this year.

"Bug" is fucking great.

I like him. I don't think he really has a ton of range, but he's a good character actor.

I really like him, but I feel the more he goes on the crappier generally his filmography gets, the big movies he's in do poorly and he's in less and less smaller titles where he seems to really shine
Case in point, his best performance imo is still Take Shelter

Well for me he was one of "those guys" for a while, he was in a couple of movies with minor roles so I never really noticed him, that was until I watched Boardwalk Empire, his performance there is perfect there is no single flaw.

I think there is still a lot for him to explore and grow as an actor so im excited.

He was great in Nocturnal Animals

He was good in Take Shelter.

A fine actor. Loved his cameo in Delocated.

Take Shelter really cogitates the slush in the brain pan.

I'd agree with that. Take Shelter gave him a little bit more room but I'd like to see him in different roles like that and Revolutionary Road.

Nocturnal Animals and Midnight Special did pretty well. Maybe not the latter so much but I agree with you mostly.

Hopefully some better directors will take a look at him in the future.

He's great, I'm a huge fan. I hope he wins the oscar but Ali seems the favorite who was also really good.

His best performances are Take Shelter, Revolutionary Road, Boardwalk Empire, Shotgun Stories, Bug, Nocturnal Animals, 99 Homes, My Son My Son What Have Ye Done, Midnight Special, and Premium Rush. I think he has a great filmography.

Also he steals the show in The Night Before, and was great as well.

I like him and got really sad when I found out he's ultra liberal, but still like him.

Midnight special wasn't so great but he was the best part of it.

He's great and I think he should win an Oscar at some point, but not really for Nocturnal Animals. I really don't understand the hype for that film, it was nothing special.

herzog as the villain again like port of call. great casting.

I don't really care for the movie itself either but I did like his performance. It was too bad he had to previously go up against a dead Heath ledger, you can't really compete with that.
