It should've been a period piece, making it contemporary was a shit choice.

There will never be a good Atlas Shrugged book for two reasons:

1. It's a terrible book.

2. Making a good movie requires an artistic talent and almost no one with those talents agrees with any of the ideals espoused by Rand.

The Fountainhead (1949) was considered a relatively good film adaptation of her book. I think this book's message was not so extreme and more relatable. It was about society wanting people to be mediocre.

Here is were her rants about philanthropy being cruel began and pure selfish capitalism being the best. There will never be a good film out of this shit, since it is regressive as fuck.
