For some reason, as a kid this movie was just the best film ever. And it still comes to my mind with these kinds of questions.

I love this movie, but c'mon. Once Upon a Time in the West is better.

Often the villain is just as important as the hero, for me there's not greater villain than El Indio, I feel like theres so much unspoken depth to him, from the way he smokes his joints and drifts out into the memory of the woman he raped and killed, showing such an almost unnoticeable sense of remorse and regret, almost he loved her in his own insane way.
to the way in this scene im posting, where for a moment he seems to truly belive he deserves his death, almost tempting god himself to intervene, before so coldly snatching the life of this man after killing his family.
He's such a jaded figure, he reminds me of Satan in Paradise lost,

I agree with you about El Indio, and I think that For a Few Dollars More is the best in the Trilogy.

I rewatched the trilogy a couple days ago, and found The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly lacking compared to FAFDM. Amazing movie, but I still think that OUATITW is better.
and OUATIA his best overall.

Patient and experienced viewer who picks a compelling premise over a guaranteed action packed blockbuster.
