What is Wes Anderson's best film and why is it obviously Moonrise Kingdom

What is Wes Anderson's best film and why is it obviously Moonrise Kingdom

You could have picked absolutely any other one of his movies and made a case for it, but you chose the absolute worst.

because it has the most replay value and the cast is all pretty fantastic

The Life Aquatic is better, but that is the correct 2nd choice.

t. pleb

This desu. It's my favourite of his as well. It's so fun and easy to watch

I don't think I get wes anderson

He hasn't made a bad film. I think The Grand Budapest Hotel or Fantastic Mr. Fox may be his best but my favorite is The Darjeeling Limited (him most underrated imo).

there's nothing to get really, you just gotta get on the same page as his humor

it's all about the subtle humor.

Grand Budapest is easy to get into.

Royal Tenenbaums is legitimately the best story and humour

>Wes Anderson

There's no real point arguing his best because they're all fairly equal.

His worst is definitely Darjeeling Limited though. that was a piece of shit.

back to your Snyder kino, kiddo

I have only seen Tenenbaums and Grand Budapest

what next, I preferred Tenenbaums more

>Snyder

>Visiting my parents for the weekend
>My dad picks out Moonrise Kingdom to watch on Netflix because he heard it was good and both my parents used to be scouts
>Have to take a piss in the middle of the movie, tell my dad not to pause it
>Enjoy the movie and have a nice time with my parents
>Later find out that there's a scene where he touches her tits or something, and it just so happens that was when I went to the bathroom
Dodged a bullet there.

Rushmore

you missed out, bro

Darjeeling is number two behind Royal Tenenbaums

Are y-you me? Whenever I know a raunchy scene is coming up in a movie I always leave the room.

Fantastic mr fox.
It's a wonderful movie

OP here, it's a terribly close second for me

Is Darjeeling Limited the ultimate Sup Forums pleb filter? Why does everyone hate it? It's arguably his best.

Go back to fucking dogs, YMS.

Yes, it's probably my favorite. Might be because I have a few brothers but I think it's great.

Why are trains so comfy? One day if I have the money for it I want to take a two week long train ride through the mountains and spend the whole time shitposting on Sup Forums. I could order food right to my cabin and look out the window at the view.

One day... I will have a black haired blue eyed girl.

Moonrise is his worst film. This is the only time Wes really lives down to his "twee" reputation, the only time the quirk overpowers the characters. The only people impressed by this film are
A. People who've never seen a Wes Anderson film before, and the whole style is new to them, and/or
B. Pedophiles.

The Darjeeling Limited is his only bad movie.

it's a movie about naive child love. only pedophilia you see in it is your own projection you fucking degenerate

Critics gave it a hard time because they were still mad about Life Aquatic (which I also thought was pretty good, honestly) and they saw Darjeeling as "more of the same." Critics are plebs, and most people are even plebbier. I think over time people will come around and recognize it as a pretty good movie

>What is Wes Anderson's best film and why is it obviously NOT Moonrise Kingdom
there corrected it for you OP

You think there are other anarchists in Paterson?

Grand Budapest Hotel is comfykino

Ill join you.

I'll bring my GBP and my microwaveable tendies Ive accumulated over the years

poor Sam had like no lines and barely any screen time.

Seems like I touched a nerve. The characters don't act like any children I've ever met and their love story doesn't resemble the relationships I had at that age, or anyone else I knew. This is a 40-year-old eccentric's fantasy of what "naive child love" would be like

>The Life Aquatic is bett

Didn't even finish reading what you had to say

This is his actual best movie.
My favorite is still Life Aquatic though.

because Anderson explores themes using a dissonance

>projecting

Double D Dario BTFO

The only options are Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr. Fox. In both of these, and unlike all the other Wes Anderson movies, the main characters have a clear goal and accomplish it largely due to their own efforts. But Fantastic Mr. Fox is mostly 12fps, so Moonrise Kingdom wins.

High tier:
Moonrise Kingdon
Rushmore
The Life Aquatic

Mid tier:
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Fantastic Mr. Fox

Low Tier:
Bottle Rocket
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Darjeeling Limited

i have had this long standing theory that 98% of people will say their favorite wes anderson film is the first one they saw

there always 2% contrarians +-2%

I saw The Life Aquatic first and it is not my favorite because the pacing is too slow and the characters don't have any real plan. But I liked the stop motion sea creatures, the cut away set, and the camera work.

I saw rushmore first and it is my favorite.

I saw GBH last and it's my least favorite (not counting bottle rocket).

You might be on to something.

I don't understand the hate for Life Aquatic, I like it.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is best though. Excited he's returning to animation.

First as Mr fox
Favotite would be Rushmore I think

tenenbaums > rushmore > aquatic > rocket > the fox > moonrise > hotel >>>> ltd

anything else is objectively wrong

My favorite is Fantastic Mr. Fox and it also happens to be the first one I saw.

CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THIS NO MEME ANSWERS

>grow more
>4 years left
>pic related

She is a titty monster now
