At the time probably.
Some of Jet Li scenes are at the same level, but his first movies were more like traditional kung fu movies.

Still extremely good.
In an semi related note, I was never capable of doing the candles trick with a kick, I can blow a candle with a punch, but three with a kick seems impossible.
>Jackie Chan
He's rubbish

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCKE!
in every chan movie, why did benny wear eyeliner?
>they took out the Superman punch
BOO

Still the best to me.

It's a JoJo refernce
The Raid 2 is one two hour long extended fight scene so that without a doubt
t. normie
Og all the classics the original drunken master fighting style it's the most famous.
But it's far from the only style that Jackie mastered.

Fearless Hyena fist.
Ooh . if you're talking 1v1 it's yours
Versus multiple opponents, I'd say police story mall fight
>raid two is one two too
OP said scene, cherry pick one from either raid and put it up for critique. Don't just say the whole movie you literal fanboy.
as well done as this is, it will never reach GOAT status like the Benny vs Jackie Chan fights cuz of the fantastical elements like cloth sticks and wire assisted super jumps.

Jet Li has some GOAT.
hard to pick but I would say the hallway fight

most visually interesting to me
not him btw
The best fight scene of all time isn't even from a movie
youtube.com
you have to remember that most of these movies were filmed using undercranking.
OP's post is most definitely undercranked.
They havent undercranked by much (22-20 frames instead of 24) because it still looks natural to an extent, but the undercranking gives them alot more speed.
That's not a fight scene, it's an exercise in bad choreography and people with no skill whatsoever that caters to stupidity.
Patricians Choice
Actually yes it is a real fight scene, unlike the videos in this thread of 2 robotic chinks backflipping at eachother.
IMO this one DESU
christ what is this shaky jumpcutty edgefest?
>shit talk asian martial arts movies and calls them out for being cliche
>posts a western fight scene filled with hollywood fighting cliches.
Polanski's Macbeth
That camera work is fucking awful holy shit
Good choice.
This one has always been a favorite for it's brutality without getting tastelessly graphic.
It's very well made but they probably used bellows.
>muh stepbrothers
Benny is that guy with weird face that makes you try to figure out his ethnicity only to realize he might be a lizard.
Right actor, wrong flick. It's the rope factory fight in Miracles.

CLASSIC KUNF-FU KINO

As much as I loved The Raid 1 & 2, the final fight just drags on way to long.
holy shit how did they train a dog to do all of that?
Didn't mike tyson concede that ip man's actor could wreck him in real life?
Very underrated fight scene.
>american cops
Why they didn't just arrest him?
>drags out way to long
>not wanting fight kino to be the entire length of the film
>a good martial arts fight features tramps, ropes and the like
>half the time you cannot even see the style of Kung-Fu the actor is portraying.
Plebs.

One of Jackies only worthwhile performances.
And of course.
Holy shit I forgot about that one. So good. Lots of good ones in here. I need to rewatch Kung Fu kino.
No Ong Bak yet?
Lol.

Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock in their tribute to lesbianism, 80's Jackie level stunts.

Have a Jeeja Yanin fight scene, There's not on the level of Ong Bak but I like them. her acting it's a lot better than Tony Jaa, making the movies more compelling.
Nigga this thread aint over its only just begun
>fight scene thread
>posts a chase scene
His chase scenes are so good they can be included but if it's a fight ya want then lets start with the basics
