Can we all agree this is truly pure theme park kino?

Not really anymore. There's not much to do compared to MK. I still love it though.
Theme parks are for scamming hard working americans and for foreigners
It's not even the best at DW. Although I have great memories of trying to go around the world in 15 drinks, or whatever unofficial thing the staff has there. I made it around with my cousin and then we both got fucking sick in Mexico land and were put in a cab and sent back to our hotel with a warning. I puked red margarita slushie all over the main path, ha.
Anyway, MGM and MK are the best at WDW. Although MGM is going to suck once it becomes mostly Star Wars themed. And Animal Kingdom has its cool rides too. I loved that Yeti coaster.
they sell alcohol at disney?
Hollywood Studios is getting a self contained Star Wars land. Hopefully it will contain all the Star Wars crap that is infesting the entire park currently.
They do at Disney World. It's been like a decade since I was there (the time with my cousin), but we were both 22 and had heard about how the staff at Epcot have a challenge called Around the World in 14 or 15 drinks.
Basically each country segment of the Epcot world walk path has a specialty drink. Your goal is to get through all 15 specialty drinks in 2 hours. I almost pulled it off with my cousin, but we puked in Mexico which was the last country on one side of the World, so to speak.
The also sell alcohol in certain areas of Downtown Disney and at restaurants, etc., located on property.
I think all the parks except Magic Kingdom do
$300 later..
they sell booze at california adventure in anaheim
EPCOT is my favorite theme park in the world.
have some OC
I wouldn't try for some challenges, but going after I was 21 and drinking casually around the world was great. Even with family and not friends it was pretty good.
Still dunno if I like Norway's Aquavit.
Still dunno how I feel about them making The Living Seas into a Nemo themed ride and aquarium. I miss the retro future sealab, but also can see how Nemo is a great gateway for kids into marine biology.
Yeti coaster is probably the best ride in all 3 parks. Animal Kingdom is great, but its not much more than a glorified zoo, AND it closes way too early.
Do you not like rides user?
fuck off consensus faggot
As much as I love EPCOT, I also mourn what it could have been.
Sup Forumse/s/t/h\e\t\i\c\
I agree, but I have a soft spot for the classics (Space, Splash, Haunted Mansion), as well as Soarin', Terror Tower, and the Bug's Life ride inside the trippy Animal Kingdom tree.
I want to go to Disney World now :(
Anyone ever been during Halloween or Christmas?
That's a fuckton of alcohol for a non-alcoholic / heavy drinker. If you metabolize ~1 drink per hour, your asking your body to take on 7x that load - basically, you're guaranteed to puke. Don't get me wrong, I'd try it too and it sounds fun, but that seems like a huge liability for the staff to even "secretly" suggest doing that.
The Land has some great food.
Thanks to the world showcase, EPCOT has the best food in Disney World.
It's a close second, Magic Kingdom will always be number one
Figment and Dreamfinder movie when?!?
This is my personal favorite place to eat in WDW. It's in MGM. All the waitresses dress up like '50s moms and dads and berate you while you eat. The meatloaf is amazing too.
Oops, forgot pic
Disney World annual passholder here. Epcot a shit. Innoventions is a bombed out wasteland of PS3 games and festival souvenirs. Half of Future World is left vacant outside of festivals. The Imagination pavilion is practically abandoned and Journey into Imagination with Figment is a hollow shell of what it was in the early 90s. World Showcase is nothing but an alcohol filled cesspool. What was once a park with carefully crafted vision is now a hodgepodge of poorly integrated Disney licensed tie ins like the Living Seas and Frozen's takeover of the Norway pavilion.
How did we go from this...
... to this
Why oh why the fuck did they make an avatar land, that and replacing twilight zone in Disney world with capeshit has to be some of the worst decisions Disney has made.
Too bad the yeti doesn't move anymore because of structural damage.
Don't forget they just opened a Jimmy Fallon simulator ride, AND took out Jaws
80s/early 90s EPCOT Center was theme park kino, and the original Journey into Imagination was dark ride kino. They're both garbage now.
How did we go from this...
... to this
millennials have no standards
EPCOT has best girl
Went to disney world and universal studios as a kid
>Jaws
>Terminator
>Back to the Future
>Giant arcade inside the ball building
>Journey Into Imagination
>Honey, I Shrunk the Audience!
>20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
>The “Extra Terrorestrial” Encounter
Went back a few years ago with my kid, and all the rides were gone. I was so sad, so let down. The replacements weren't nearly as good.
Hasn't got shit on LEGO world
Magic Kingdom > Animal Kingdom > Epcot > Hollywood Studios
Fight me
Space mtn is fun too. Of the mountains I like Big Thunder the best. I want to go now too.
I haven't been during a holiday, but I did go to epcot during the flower festival or w/e it is they have early in the year.
>Ranking Animal Kingdom anything other than dead last
It's the Star Trek: Enterprise of theme parks.
NOOOOO, WHAT HAS BECOME OF THE SPIRIT OF NOR-VAY
That ride has a place in meme heaven now for my friends and I
Who will play him in the film version?
Hard Mode:No Hanx
Be honest, are you Tim Grassey?
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow!
And tomorrow's just a dream away!
Is it kino?
>First three acts is just going to be him in the same shitty house
Only the Tower of Terror in California is getting replaced by Guardians of the Galaxy. The original tower in Hollywood Studios is safe.
I fucking love that song. Also the people mover in Tommorowland is sit down and relax kino
Everest is one of the best rides in all the parks though. AK has pretty good food as well.
Disney signed the Avatar theme park deal in 2011, back when it was still considered a fresh, hot property.
Problem is Imagineering lead Joe Rohde spent way too much money and took too much time developing it. (Currently a year behind and 1.5 billion beyond the initial budgeting)
Since then, Disney has purchased and fucking made two Star Wars movies, but they're stuck doing this Avatar thing.
How is that considered acceptable for the "Disney Look"?
Plus, come on, who doesn't like Safari Animals? Every once in a while it's exciting to see.
Disney is the literal Disney of themeparks
B&M hypercoasters are rollerkino
disney is degenerate
Unthemed steel coasters are in Amusement Parks. Two minutes of disrupting your equilibrium hardly matches the pure theme park kino that is, say, Living with the Land.
Imagineers can do whatever the fuck they want. If I even have a slight stubble I get my ass handed to me by the mouse
>mfw the fastpass line is just as long if not longer than the regular line
we need a fastpass fastpass line
Fastpass is a meme anyway. It just pushes you into shops and restaurants, but everyone still waits the same overall amount of time.
If you stay on-property at one of the WDW resorts, you get Fastpass included with your park hopper tickets.
Or, at least it was that way the last time I went there.
can we all agree this is truly theme park 映画?
Even a single-day guest can access the FastPass+ system.
Enjoy the warm radiation
>everyone still waits the same overall amount of time.
Yeah, but waiting an hour (or two) by walking around doing shit and then swinging back around for the ride is way more enjoyable than standing in a fucking line for that amount of time.
I feel people don't appreciate Ellen's Energy Adventure enough. During the summer this is a 40 minute air conditioned sanctuary with practically no wait time and plenty of room to stretch out. And you get to get educated by goddamn Bill Nye. I fear this will be the next thing Disney closes...
>tfw gf fell for disney meme
> her family spends their entire tax return every year to go to disney world
How do I not show my disgust
>Getting "tax return"
>Not adjusting withholdings to prevent yourself from providing a free loan to the government
Found the W-2 pleb.
>How do I not show my disgust
post pics of her feet
You could try riding the rocket launch ride and hope you have a heart attack afterward
>Found the W-2 pleb.
But it's the W-4 where you declare your withholdings. That said, you're right. People who get huge tax refunds are morons.
Yeah but if you don't own your own business you're already a failure.
Who here Dark Sides?
>Epcot no longer has horrizons
>Epcot closed all wonders of life attractions
> journey into imagination gutted
Disney world makes me sad.
Disneyland USA is the best theme park in the world.
EPCOT of the 80's and 90's was the pinnacle of theme parks.
>before the internet ruined everything
>before political correctness took over
>before 9/11
>before minorities took over
>before the dollar plunged in value
what a fuckin time to be alive
The patrician's theme park desu
they do at disney world. there's one member's only club at disneyland that sells drinks but it costs like 10 grand to get in
ahem
Living with the Land is the most comfy ride in the world
Universal is Six Flags tier
NO RIDES

Epcot is educational bullshit. I'm not interested in Science and Social Studies on vacation
Even as a kid I loved going through The Land. I grew up with an area with farms I could go to, but the whole hydroponic farm making food you eat at the park was cool.
>youtube.com
is he right?
you work at disney? what park? any backstage stories?
also i wore my mega64 shirt to disney and got constant recognition from ride operators
ellens energy adventure just closed
>Disney overhauls a huge part of animal kingdom for an Avatarland in 2009 when Avatar is huge
>8 years later it opens
>Nobody cares about Avatar anymore
JUST
disneyland pimps is pure kino, wearing a mega64 shirt at disneyland is the best experience
There was a video on YouTube about how there was to be originally 3 tiers to Animal Kingdom, but Eisner-Disney era could only afford to build 2, and chose "Dinoland" instead of "mythical beasts" Forever dooming Animal Kingdom to the "zoo at disney"
I steal from Disney all the time and took advantage of the "handicap line skip pass" back when they offered it
Once Star Wars land, expanded Pixar Place and Pandora are built, the order will be...
Hollywood Studios > Magic Kingdom > Animal Kingdom > Epcot
no it didn't.
>source: me. I rode it literally 5 hours ago.
I love the science and World Showcase.
However, a couple more thrill rides would be nice. Test Track and Mission: Space could use some company.
tfw you work for disney
One little spark, of Insperation...
This ride is truly one of the greatest at all of disney
...
Right back at ya
>tfw I was at Epcot today
