Dream Warriors is fucking awesome. A huge influence for me actually.

Dream Warriors is as perfect of a sequel as you can ask for imo. It has some returning cast, a new cast that's good, expands on the original and is a good movie on it's own. So of course Freddy's Revenge is my favorite.

the transformation scene in this still holds up pretty well imo

i always liked that he brought his hat with him, that's a funnier detail than any gag in pts 4-6

These movies are rad. I love the whole aesthetic and atmosphere and music.

Besides 1 and New Nightmare, they all suck

before your time i saw it when it was fresh but never scared me.

its probably the 2nd worst one to freddy's dead but its not as silly or fun

some good deaths though
compared to Friday or Halloween the entire nightmare series is at least more creative and entertaining than just people getting stabbed

as far as actual quality sure but compared to other slasher movies that ra into the ground, they are pretty unique and weird. The dream elements does lend itself to fun surreal horror.

I'd take the worst nightmare sequels to these pg13 found footage or jumpscare crap these days.

And if we are talking about quality New Nightmare has plenty of problems. Yeah the meta thing is neat but thats all it really has going for it. I'd say dream warriors is better

Freddy stabs his geeky ass at the end of the scene, so it all works out.

Yes. It also had the kid who turns into a comic book.

this, though the final showdown and freddy's overall look in new nightmare is among the best in the seriies

Yeah I thought so. I find those so memorable but I forget the movie exists still. I must just think they're in other movies most of the time.

fuck, that scene was so bad, easily the worst death in the series, maybe tied with the karate scene.

I was torn between the two, I just unironically have a lot of fun watching fvj

It's really dull. Never Sleep Again had some cut footage from it that looked really amazing though. It's only a couple of seconds added to the kills but it probably would have helped.

Back when the movie came out there were actually 2 versions of the VHS. One was cut and the other wasn't, so you got a bit of extra time during the killing scenes, like the motorcycle part and also when Gretchen is being force-fed.

It's a great Horror movie.

It has good build-up and has an interesting angle story-wise.

I've always liked it, but it's nice to see more people coming around.

I like the beginning up until around the middle and then it just goes out the window by the end. It was pretty hyped when it came out, and I remember not being that impressed with it even back then.

I will concede that the ending -- where they went into some underworld-like area -- was a bit odd and feels out of place.

However, I think the rest of the movie makes up for some of its shortgivings.

I can see why some people dislike it; I like that it tried something different and interesting.
