Next bond announcement??

When the fuck are they going to announce the next bond? Are they waiting for Nolan to finish Dunkirk so he can direct Bond 25? In which case, can we expect Hardy?

We all know it's Idris Elba.

Because Craig is coming back you nigger

I'll eat my own shit if that happens. Not a chance. Elba does not want to be known as "the first black Bond" so he wont do it.

Idris Elba knows it's not Idris Elba.

and pretty sure Craig is still Bond, next movie is his last contractually.

He's old as fuck, and looks it. Plus, he's booked up on some shite theatre thing most of next year, which is why nobody has seen much of him. He's out.

>and pretty sure Craig is still Bond, next movie is his last contractually.

lol he's going to look fucking old and like shit

Exactly. Look at him. OLD. AS. FUCK.

Don't get me wrong. Hes been an amazing Bond. But its time to fuck off.

Bring on Hardy.

Only thing is Hardy is 5'9", Craig was 5'10" and that was pushing it. Bond is supposed to be 6 ft or a bit more.

Bale should be Bond.

makeup and lighting is all it takes, plus he's looked old since the first movie what with his caveman features

Maybe. He's a little old though. By the time he got onto the third film he would be over 50. Good shout though.

Would be nice to see him in a film with his actual accent for a change.

Yeah he's getting up there, that's why they should give him one more movie with Waltz to end his run properly.

Then wait a few years and Daniel Radcliffe can take the role.

He looked like he was well into his 50s in Skyfall and that was 5 years ago, fuck Craig. He also couldn't be bothered to come back for the role despite them offering more than $70 million for another 2 movies. His time is up, time for a new Bond.

He was 38/39 when he did Casino Royale (probably the best bond film in 30 years) He'll be over 50 if he does another. Make-up can only do much.

Tom Hardy on the other hand, is 39 now.

Not the first time an actor was too old to be still playing bond tbqh

Bale is 42 but could still pull off late 30s if he shaved. Hardy is only 3 years younger.

And AVTAK (and OP before it) were mostly shit because of it. Also Moore should've left after FYEO.

this.

At least it proves he's just not in it for the money anymore. Otherwise we would have definitely had 2 shite bond films with an old man to look forward too.

Waltz story is probably going to be abandoned for the next movie, if they go with a new bond.

I was going to say has nobody seen Roger Moore bond. Speaking of which how the fuck is Moore even alive.Wasnt he 46 when his first bond movie came out,

this.
It's either Idris or John Boyega

He'd make a cool younger Felix Leiter.

I honestly don't even think Hardy would want it. It would be too much of a timesink and I think he'd want to do a lot of other projects in the meantime.

It would be a giant boost to his name if it took it but I doubt he thinks like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if a story comes out years later that he actually turned the offer down.

Yeah, and it was bloody awful. Watching that old fuck kiss Grace Jones. Urgh.

Bond is supposed to look like he could make your wife cum then kill you with a napkin in under a minute.

View to a Kill he looked like he was about to collapse.

Give it a few more years.

Humm. Maybe. But if he did a 3 movie deal its like 6 months every 2 year for an INSANE amount of money.

I think its more likely they wont go with him because hes too much of a movie superstar. They have never chosen a mega famous person for the role before. The role has always made them mega famous.

Craig got the role because of what he did in Layer Cake. That was about as big a film he had made up til that point. Most people hadn't even seen that flick until after Casino Royale came out.

Pierce Brosnan was the best looking Bond.

Why did they stop using Jeffrey Wright? What a waste!

Brosnan is my favourite Bond (after Connery). Unfortunately he stared in all the shitest bond films.

Except Goldeneye, which was fucking cash.

too bad his movies sucked after GoldenEye (though I admit I have a soft spot for Tomorrow Never Dies)

Goldeneye was good, TND was average, TWINE was actually decent.

DAD was the real shit one.

His films made for good games though, loved playing the shit out of GE, TWINE and Nightfire multiplayer late at night with my buds.

Yes, but that's no reason why it should be done ever again.

Exactly. He was too old. It actually did a bit of damage to the series. Made it a bit of a joke.

Timothy Dalton should have been brought in sooner.

>Why did they stop using Jeffrey Wright?

why would he have been involved in Skyfall? Spectre would probably be on the CIA's radar sure but even then Felix doesn't have to be in every Bond movie.

TWINE could of been good but it was badly executed. I don't know if the director fucked with the script or Purvis & Wade had no idea what they were doing their first time around because the writing is all over the place. Part of me thinks it's both because DAD had the same problem with it's pacing and writing only much much worse because Tamahori has no idea how to direct a bond film and wanted to chip in a bunch of stupid shit.

They want Craig back and are waiting for him to reconsider leaving, which might happen as he forgets about his unhappy Spectre shooting experience and admires their increasingly large offers.

He's too old. You'd get one film out of him then that's it.

He'll come back with a big fat 70 million dollar cheque and he'll be old, look old and be bored and look bored and it'll be mediocre shit and everyone will say Spectre should've been his last, then sometime in the early 2020s we'll finally have a new Bond and it won't be Tom Hardy or Idris Elba because they'll be too old then.

That's what's going to happen.

Why not Tom Hiddleston?

Then again, he might be too big to commit to the role, as well as being Loki.

Aiden Turner seems perfect for the next Bond.

To much kebab blood.

>and Daniel Radcliffe can take the role

FUCK NO *nervous giggle* is not a suave

This was this nigga's reaction to every probing question or statement by Laurie that hit too close to home

Didn't he say hed rather cut his wrists then play bond again?

Bond should really have his own TV show at this point.

I have a bad feeling that Bendherdick Cuminhersnatch will be the next bond

Why not ask our old friend, google.

my votes on shakespeare bond

Did you just stop using the internet that day or something?

He was pretty good in Kong Skull Island, I could see him in the role

To Bond, or not to Bond, that is the question

Dan Stevens is going big time thanks to Legion and Beauty and the Beast.
If they're smart, they sign him now while he's still affordable.

>filename

no, Nolan won't ever direct a Bond, and Craig is still up for another. He gets fed up after two years of shooting the same shit then comes round when the money hits home.

Idris Elba - Not tied to any major recurring roles

Bendydick Cucumberpatch - Tied to MCU for foreseeable future, possibly expensive

Daniel Kaluuya - Who?

Tom Hiddleston - Tied to MCU for foreseeable future, definitely expensive

David Oyelowo - Who?

Hugh Laurie - Absolutely based patrician choice, so won't happen

Big Willy S - Being dead might be a problem

John Boyega - Tied to Star Wars for foreseeable future

Ching Chong Darkiefor - Tied to MCU for foreseeable future

>Idris Elba - Not tied to any major recurring roles
>Daniel Kaluuya
>John Boyega - Tied to Star Wars for foreseeable future
>Ching Chong Darkiefor - Tied to MCU for foreseeable future

Also black and Bond is fucking white reeeeeeeeeeeee

A James Purefoy or Richard Armitage Bond could possibly work, but it's going to be Idris Elba. Unless the dark tower shits out sequels.

Hugh Laurie would be good. He can take witty quips to the next level.

>Elba does not want to be known as "the first black Bond"
what? why not?

Maybe he's getting sick of reddit numales telling him he should just because he's black?

He has his own character, Luther and he plays that way better than he would some posh english spy agent.

>James Purefoy
He would have been GOAT about 10 years ago but I think he's past it to start shooting bond (he's 52)

He has the perfect level of charm and coldness though, as is evidenced by him playing the arch shit in Rome.

true, and he usually doesn't play sophisticated roles and looks more like a villain.

bond villain maybe

These 3 are the only possible alternatives to Hardy.

If Nolan wants nothing to do with it, I want Martin Campbell back in the directors chair. He's made the 2 best bond films of the last 30 years. He fucking gets it. Not sure why they went to Sam Mendes twice.

James Purefoy is more of a villian

Cast your perfect bond movie:

>Required roles:

James Bond -
M -
Q -
Main Bond Girl -
Bond Girl who gets fucked an hour in, and killed about 20 minutes after that -
Villain -
Villain's Henchman -
Sidekick (ie. Felix Leiter) -

Because they would be a subtle racist agenda to his casting. He would just want to be known as Bond and not have to listen to 20,000 fucking questions about "what does it mean to be the first black bond"..."YOU'RE BLACK YOU'RE BLACK YOU'RE BLACK YOU'RE BLACK" for the entire world press junket. I can see his reasoning.

What is it with you people casting Americans as Bond? That is never going to happen and you should know better.

>James Bond - Tom Hardy
>M - Liam Neeson
>Q - Nicolas Hoult
>Main Bond Girl - Alicia Vikander
>Bond Girl who gets fucked an hour in, and killed about 20 minutes after that - Elle Fanning
>Villain - Tilda Swinton / Paul Dano
>Villain's Henchman - Dane DeHaan
>Sidekick (ie. Felix Leiter) -Jeffrey Wright

James Bond - Tom Hiddleston (not ideal, but I really can't think of anyone else)
M - Ralph Fiennes (no use fixing what's not broken)
Q - Hugh Laurie
Main Bond Girl - Felicity Jones
Bond Girl who gets fucked an hour in, and killed about 20 minutes after that - Elizabeth Turner (pic related, not really an actress, but it's not hard to act out sucking a dick is it?)
Villain - Kevin Spacey
Villain's Henchman - CM Punk
Sidekick (ie. Felix Leiter) - Jeffrey Wright

...

You'd change M? I can't see anything wrong with Ralph Fiennes desu

Tom Hardy isn't even close to being handsome enough to be James Bond, not to mention that he doesn't look high class enough. I want Michael Fassbender to be the next Bond. He's perfect and looks the part.

The villain should be Donald Drumpf and Bond has to stop him from getting Putin's hacked nuclear codes.

the more important question is what type of Bond movies are we getting next

Craig's movies are super serious shit with "REALISM". That gets old real fast.

>Fassbender

real english name that.

Ralph Fiennes is a fine actor, but I think hes miscast. Liam Neeson has total authority on screen and in the room. If he tells bond to do something, and bond doesnt listen, you know that bond has bloody good reason.

Where as now Fiennes (and the character laid down in Skyfall) says do something, and Bond doesn't listen, it could be because he thinks hes just a fucking desk monkey who doesn't know what he is talking about and there will be absolutely no need to worry about getting a grilling later, because he's a bit of a fanny.

Yeah lets go back to the Die Another Day route, with ridiculous villains and fucking invisible cars.

The more I think about it, the more I think Tilda Swinton will be an awesome Bond villain.

you can be tongue in cheek like Kingsman and still be fun

Die Another Day was directed by a hack, what do you expect?

I think Fassbender would be a good Bond. But I don't think he would do it.

That... actually makes a lot of sense.

Idris is getting old but has the suave.

Hardy would be terrible imo.

Am I the only one that has a Tilda Swinton fetish? She's so weird and chamaleonic that I unironically think she'd be a good lay.

my top picks for James Bond:
>Sir Ian McKellen
>Sir Liam Neeson
>Sir Hugh Jackman
>the guy from Drive and LaLaLand
>Batman
>Patrick Swayze

give me one good reason why any one of these wouldn't make an amazing James Bond

I think the realism bogged down Spectre a little. And Skyfall for that matter.

However, if they kept it at the level it is in Casino Royale, I would be happy. When someone smashes Bond in the jaw, I want the next scene to be him recovering from being smashed in the jaw. Every fight sequence in CR was brutal because when he got hit it looked like it hurt and after the sequence he looked fucking wasted. That aesthetic just disappeared after that film, which was a shame

>Patrick Swayze

Because he will always be the Ghost.

My man.

She looks like she knows how to ride a dick in 'The Beach'

Tilda Swinton is an incredible actress. From Snowpiercer to Michael Clayton. Shes tits.

>Too Old
>I'll give you Liam Neeson, but only for one film
>Too fucking Australian, fuck off out of it cunt
>Too boring
>Too dramatic
>Dead

>I think its more likely they wont go with him because hes too much of a movie superstar. They have never chosen a mega famous person for the role before. The role has always made them mega famous.

>Craig got the role because of what he did in Layer Cake. That was about as big a film he had made up til that point. Most people hadn't even seen that flick until after Casino Royale came out.

This, a relatively unkown actor adds to the mystique of Bond

Can't have someone already famous and in the public's eye play them

Sir Hugh Jackman isn't too Australian. Nobody outside of the UK can even tell the difference between a British and an Australian.

And Patrick Swayze will never die.

What are some essential Swinton-kinos? Gotta check that sex scene though, any clips?

Dumb Yanks please leave

Also, what the FUCK is this captcha

My favorite role by him will always be the evil young son to Paul Newman's Irish mob boss in 'Road to Perdition'

I've only seen 2 but he really was a good Bond

Austin Powers killed fun bond user

agree. Shame about his career the past 10 years. Guess he was born and died in the 90s.

Kingsman revived it

Kingsman 2 could go a long way to bringing it right back to relevancy

>Nobody outside of the UK
>implying any opinions except British ones matter when it comes to bond

Bond has always been a bit of a villian, he just fights for the right side. Just think of how many people he's killed and how little he cares about it.

I think it's sort of crazy that even after Austin Powers they still use the exact same tiny prison Dr. Evil was in for Skyfall, and even put Christoph Waltz in a Dr. No suit complete with pussycat.

You'd think after Austin Powers spoofed it, they'd hang it up, but they thought it was still okay.

I'm pretty sure England cares more about diversity than a cis white Bond. I mean, it's 2017.

Kingsman has that gap in the market filled.

Bond went off course with Quantum of Solance when they tried to make it all James Bourne. Then they tried to reel it back in with Skyfall (lots of copying The Dark Knight)

They need to build on Casino Royale.
