The left upholds equality through tolerance and realizes historic reactionaries to recent immigration. It does this so it can promote unity between people and gather than minority vote. Because it does this it's big on identity issues and wants to push that despite people in the group their defending working against the whole "tolerance" aspect.

The social democrats are getting taxed to try to uphold their values with Islam so they're trying to put a blind eye to their groups working against them to just keep pressing the narrative of immigration hate to the point it becomes an anti-majority narrative.

But when Christianity is criticized, the modern conservatives defend Christians even though the bible oppresses women, says it's ok to kill gays and commit rape. They will go after you, call you a "fedora tipping atheist liberal" , and maybe ruin your discussion by simply countering any criticism of Christianity with a picture of a fedora.

With kind of worldview, it's obvious you'd run into this issue. The core of the issue is that the Christians that defend Christianity believe it good and separate from the claims you make.

I response to the brief condescension of the modern rise of atheism in the early 2000s but yes, still not justifiable.

Christians will try to convince me, muslims will kill me. The dividing line is the threat of violence.

Because Christianity is more familiar to them. Familiarity breeds contempt. Also, not being beheaded for insulting them is a bonus.
