Gimme a last name and a book.

The problem here is decadence. Because we live in lax times, there is no stigma against disloyalty, which allows various parasites and nonconformists like leftists, atheists, feminists, etc. increase in number.

Progressives do not follow any sort of objective morality or set of standards.

This is why their actions and beliefs are so consistently contradictory. It only works when your sense of morality is selectively applied.

At the core of Christianity is an objective morality. Things are either right or wrong. With a fixed moral grounding one cannot behave like a progressive and thus progressives hate Christianity.

They don't mind Islam for a few reason. The biggest, which has already be detailed, this that a core principle of progressiveism is to hate the west. By extension they're sympathetic towards Islam because its values are significantly different from those of the west. Their subjective moralities allows progressives to ignore all of the horrible ways Islam treats women and homosexuals.

People who criticize Christianity over Islam have never truly encountered Muslims in real life.

Pascal Bruckner. Start with The Tyranny of Guilt: An Essay on Western Masochism. There's also The Tears of the White Man: Compassion as Contempt, which was written in the 80s so it's a bit outdated in some ways, but it also hints at the decline of things to come, so depressing in hindsight. Both are worth reading eventually, but start with The Tyranny Guilt, it's more relevant to today.

This, to be honest.

Because muslims threaten to, and actually do commit acts of mass murder when their religion is threatened. They have to be treated with kid gloves or else they (quite literally) explode.
