Question for Europeans

How do you feel about your continent being the tourist destination of the whole world? Is it weird that Americans (and I assume others) fuck their way across it or travel before/after university to "find myself" and "reconnect with my roots"?

The overwhelming majority of tourists don't give a single fuck about finding themselves or shit like that. They just want:
- to grill themselves packed shoulder to shoulder on mediterannean beaches for 2 weeks (Germans, Dutches, Bongs, Belgians)
- to visit the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, then rush to the Joconde in Le Louvre, and eventually spend a day at Mont Saint-Michel to say they visited the countryside (the rest of the Germans, Dutches, Bongs, Belgians + the Murrikans and the Asiats)

Don't exaggerate pls. Yes, sometimes tourists get so drunk in Britain or as high as a kite in the Netherlands that they get on a train and oversleep their station and wind up in our capital city. But they never leave it, since there isn't anything to see outside of it.

The most annoying tourists in my region are s**thern """Germans""", so I don't care.

Tourists are a complement for us here. Germans were obvious but I meet a lot of french people here lately.

Where do tourists typically visit? Besides the polish death camps obviously.

typically Warszawa, it is quite popular tourist destination, boring tho. Wrocław is beautyfull, Gdańsk obviously an Kraków. Some visit some smaller towns to know the Polish folklore more than this comercialized.

Most tourist stay in Amsterdam and the DESIGNATED touristic areas. Unless I go to Amsterdam I basically never encounter any tourists so I don't really care, as long as you guys keep spending money :^)

I've seen Japanese tourists only once. Two elderly ladies. I still remember how they talked. It sounded so nice, like singing.

This weekend I talked with a guy from USA chicago, I think he live here. He had Polish ancestors or something.

I've met Japanese tourists. It was a funny thing, I was in elevator, and when the doors opened, they were in the lobby. They were all stareing at me, like I would be some kind of tourist attrction. Im 186 cm high and they were all like lil bunnies looking at me with akward attention. I gigled a bit, hope they didn't see it.

The cultural appreciation (and the money earned through it) is nice, but i feel sorry for the people who live in large cities that are currently getting ruined by tourism. Never heard of anyone fucking their way anywhere.
