Solid 7. Estonian sounds more soft, and mellow.
On the other hand Finnish gave us the Levan Polka which is 10/10

youtube.com/watch?v=rqT1onXH-tA

*Ievan polokka
Most of it is Savonian dialect and gibberish.

>Most of it is Savonian dialect and gibberish.
It's fun!
>youtube.com/watch?v=rqT1onXH-tA
Good, but not really my style, do you have some techno, or pop maybe?

youtube.com/watch?v=pjjz9xOcsz0

No and no. I don't listen to that kind of music. Best I can offer is this:
youtube.com/watch?v=xRRQ37ULVD4
BTW Attila Csihar is an amazing Hungarian vocalist:

Why are you posting this garbage?

he wanted finnish pop and I'm delivering

youtube.com/watch?v=nq9QWwWTYN8

I doubt anyone _really_ wants to hear this.

Finnish and in Hungarian for comparison:

Jég alatt télen eleven halak uszkálnak.
Jään alla talvella elävät kalat uiskentelevat.
(Ice under in-winter living fish swim = In wintertime living fish swim under the ice)

Kivistä verinen oli vävyn käsi.
Kövektől véres volt veje keze.
(By-stone bloody was brother-in-law's hand = Stones had made the brother-in-law's hand bloody.)

Árva szeme könnyel tele.
Orvon silmä kyyneliä täynnä.
(Orphan's eye tears full = The orphan's eye, full of tears).

Ken meni meidän edessämme?
Ki ment mi elöttünk?
(Who went us before? = Who went before us?)

Miniäni antoi voita.
Menyem adott vajat.
(Daughter-in-law-my gave butter = My daughter-in-law gave butter)

you're right. Some real music instead:

The similarity of Finnish and Hungarian is greatly exaggerated. Yes, they're both Finno-Ugric languages but Hungarian is Ugric and Finnish is Finnic.

That is acceptable.
youtube.com/watch?v=aqzQ5gbeYDo

dis :DDDDD

where are the Semitic languages?

Somewhere else. The point of that picture is to illustrate the difference between Indo-European and Finno-Ugric languages.

this
youtube.com/watch?v=UVurIpYZre8

But they sound nothing alike because they have very different phonetic inventories.
Here's some Hungarian for reference:
youtube.com/watch?v=BWgCY0UX7LU

This makes me sick.

How similar are the Sami languages to Finnish?
youtube.com/watch?v=46WW3D5a_TU

See:
It's Finnic but not Baltic Finnic, so it's not mutually intelligible at all.

Bosting some real Finnish pop

>mfw bombed the germans thinking *they* were the hun

Just what the fuck are we listening to in this thread? None of this garbage actually brings out the Finnish language in a meaningful way. Should have more motherfuckin metal in here.

If you're going to post such fedora-tipping genre, at least post something better:

youtube.com/watch?v=xd8w6VBYDHM

youtube.com/watch?v=cx7ykE6myo0

>metal
>fedora-tipping
>Yö
Made me reply, 3/10

Here's another ridiculously fantastic use of the language

youtu.be/ux4X6SGI1p0

Moonsorrow is good but metal doesn't do Finnish language justice.

Repulsive.

...

I like Korpiklaani, my favorite album is Karkelo and my favorite song is Mettänpeiton Valtiaalle

youtu.be/kgmfNgW8spQ?list=PLeEpKaUE5O6mWlhKnQrNuzcwol32XMbir

It is funny but not in a bad way.

Maybe 8 or 9. Maybe sounds kinda arrogant but i find many other languages simply unimpressive when compared to finnish

youtube.com/watch?v=oTXjtz7LiKw

Metal has some of the most eloquent poetic usages of Finnish language outside actual poetry. It's just that bands like Moonsorrow make the lyrics hard to make out unless you're reading at them at the same time. Check out Rauta over here for some good ol' Kalevala vibes modernized.

kymmenen

True but Finnish has a lot of potential to _sound_ beautiful and metal isn't usually beautiful.
youtube.com/watch?v=0_DY5kUf-IE

>metal isn't usually beautiful
You're disrespecting the flag. Get the fuck out.

Thanks for the new wallpaper senpai

>Says the one posting Popeda

I've had a beer with both Taage and Pate and I can safely say that Taage is just about the nicest dude in the world while Pate is a smug-ass vainglorious piece of obsolete human trash.

I don't know either of those and I don't want to know.

>Uses Popeda as an insult
>Doesn't know the main dude's name

It's from a web comic where all the americans are dead.

Why exactly should I know it? I hate the band.

Shit like this makes me want to play Dominions 4 again

It's more like left4dead, but in scandinavia.

screaming

some Finn posted a link on here to it like a month back, I've read through it, it's pretty cozy but the author is definitely into yaoi stuff

it's really slowed down the last two hundred pages too

Ching Chongs btfo.

Neither do Portuguese and Spanish, though.

I know, it's almost like the author's self-insert died or something.
