why? fukuoka is okay. food is great, and girls are cute and promiscuous. the city has easy access to the airport so you can visit other asian countries over long weekends. Kyushu university is waaaaaaaay more prestigious than Kansai Univ.

Fukuoka is a middle sized city in terms of its population size, but it's got excellent infrastructure and unique culture combined.
And University of Kyushu is one of ex-imperial colleges.
Those who are clever enough to go to Tokyo university or Kyoto university but cannot afford to relocate go to Kyusu university.
You can apply for any job in Japan as a univ. of Kyusu and never get turned down because of your degree.
You may not be invited to interview for some jobs if your degree is from Kansai Univ.
That's how different these universities are.

To Japanese employers, one year in Kyushu uni looks a lot better on your CV than Kansai uni.
Sea food, night life, and girls are much better in Fukuoka than in Osaka anyway.
