yes

ofc for half a year my only protein was spam

Are you african american or illegal immigrant?
Median wage of white american is 60k$/year. You can certainly afford some meat on that.

yes

For comparsion russia.

only ate spam once as a joke. It doesn't seem that cheap to me

Soup is enjoyed by rich and poor alike. Canned meat not so much.

i am asian american but that's irrelevant

not when you eat only pasta and bread for everything else, sometimes eggs

Would you eat "that".

>It doesn't seem that cheap to me

Healthy food in general is not expensive, unless you're talking about meme status-symbol food like organic kale.Poor people are their own worst enemy, they are stupid and lazy so they would rather buy processed mean than actually cook something for themselves.

Yes, I lived in Ukraine for a while, as kid and had borscht (with loads of smetana to make it palable), buckwheat and cabbage rolls all the time. I did like the little smoked fish, that you ate whole (not sure it was sardines)

I'm upper middle class($500/month after taxes) and almost every weekend I buy $2/set sushi in supermarket.
Sometimes I even buy dr.oetker German pizza.
I look down on people who eat soups.

>processed meat

Sure
What's the matter with tortellini?

My dad's been making salmon pelmeni lately and they're fantastic, so yes. He also makes pilaw sometimes and I find it to be nothing special.

id kill a man for this right now

> $2/set
Nigga that's cheap
where do you live

They look different here. And cooked on steam.

Is that sour cream in the middle?

> more third world than Loo, Kazakhstan, Morocco, some other african and many Latin American cunts

how to kms fast

yogurt-garlic sous most likely.

In the UK we have tinned corned beef or spam. I can't remember the last time I ate any. I've had corned beef, but never spam. I've seen corn beef sandwiches for sale in the supermarkets recently. We eat a lot of sandwiches in the UK.

Our stores dont sell canned meat afaik.

Except for sausages.

We eat meat soup here.
Water+Vinager+salt+meat+pasta

It can go with rice aswell

it is either fried or steamed in turkey (similar with the chinese). fried tastes much better obv

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tushonka
We have stewed canned meat. Horse, deer, beef, pork, lamb, anything.
You mix it with potato or pasta or buckwheat.

> deer
do want
where buy
not seen never

In a shop. In larger shop with better selection there should be some. You probably didn't pay attention.
p.s. it's pretty good

>canned meat
that's costly

>plov
Пилaв

Soups are something we eat before the main dish or for dinner when you do not want to eat a lot, and when I am sick.
We eat plain simple food here but its much healthier than shit westerners, Chinese and americans eat.
Roasted pig or lamb a bottle or plum brandy and bread is all I need in life.
And some onions and cabbage.

plov

Yes and no it really depends. When I was a college student I'd eat some ghetto tier food. Now I eat nice meats because I can afford it.

Lentil soups, green bean stews, pea soups and potato soups are life.

There's plenty of poor Americans, even white ones. America doesn't give a shit about them

Pilav

>Do people in your countries eat poverty food like soups, buckwheat, canned meat, plov, cabbage rolls?

of course. what did you think?
we eat russian caviar every day?

>median
means nothing

>We eat meat soup here.
>Water+Vinager+salt+meat+pasta
SOPA DE VINAGRE

i love this

I imagine they're very high energy? Ideal for cold winters.

I suppose if we tend to eat anything out of tins these days it's either soup or baked beans. I practically lived on soup & tinned beans as a student. Throw in some grated cheese, curry powder, chili powder to spice it up. Always with or on toast though.

Does borscht taste good? It looks like something I wouldn't like at all.

People in the west are rich. They can order pizza every day. Or eat in burger king, subway. If I made western-tier money like $1000 I would never cook myself.
And I would have stock dr.oetker pizzas.

Cavier is disgusting.

some similar soup in korea

budae-zzigae

canned ham, instant ramen
(actually russian know this as dosirak OШИPAК ), with some vegatable. kimchi
and sometimes sliced cheese on top
and korean eat that with rice
try this in russia with russian style
(no kimchi)

that look like dumpling in asian nation

with.... cream,,,,,
suck!
why russian do not use hot sauce?

This is a cultural thing though

Sure. Looks satisfying.

That's not borsch on the pic but schi. Even worse.
Borsch is pig disgusting how can beetroot taste good?
All slav food is disgusting they eat it because of poverty not because of taste.

Subway is utter trash, so is burger king and most delivery pizza.
I will take a good home made soup over this trash food every day.

better less but high quality ingredients

looks like asian dumpling
with cream?

Yes.

>tfw had a fish feast of canned sardines and smoked mussels

We have kimchi. And some Koryo-saram dishes.
For some reason canned coffee and aloe drinks are korean here.

With sour cream+butter+a bit of vinegar it's awesome.
But you can use any sauce you like. I eat fried ones with hot sauce.

I make soup from canned fish. Very fast and easy to cook.
But I always add some potato and carrot.

>I look down on people who eat soups.
why?

My mother often made potatoe soup, dirt cheap and very tasty

>they eat it
>they
What are you then?

>pizza and burger every day
You're insane user, I'd rather eat real homemade food which is actually more expensive in your beloved west that the crappy fast food.

>plov
>poverty food
DELET OR ELSE

I consider myself American. I grew up in American culture. Beverly hills 90210, santa barbara, disney cartoons, king of the hill, American video games and tv series.
I like mcdonalds and hot dogs.

i love eating dumplings especially manti

>Roasted pig or lamb a bottle or plum brandy and bread is all I need in life.
>And some onions and cabbage
I like you man.

>actually more expensive in your beloved west that the crappy fast food.

this. dr oetker frozen pizzas are considered poorfag food here. high quality home made dishes are much more expensive.

> I like plum brandy
absolutely haram.

>plov
ive never heard of this before but it looks amazing. is this recipe accurate?

bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/439632/uzbek-plov

dr. oetker pizza is 5 euro. More expensive than local pizza places. But it's imported so quality is better and it's tastier. How pizza should taste like.

because western pigs call it Pilaf

soup is not poverty food here. everyone eats it especially in the winter

> is this recipe accurate?
No.
You would need some specific spices which you won't find in UK most likely.
Special pot. Good lamb.
And it's whole art to cook it properly. There are a lot of little details.

user is this you?

My grandmother was a cook all her life, and is old and has learned a lot of recipes from great grandmother that was also a cook.
Soups and chowders she makes are simple, cheap and healthy. The taste ranges from great to irrelevant, She makes them from many herbs and plants dumb people would consider inedible. Best ones for me at lest are made from mangel and nettle. It has a lot of iron and vitamins and can prevent many illnesses. Mushroom soups and tomato soups she makes are less healthy but taste great.

"Die Ofenfrische" is actually beddy gud for a frozen pizza

>100hrs past 2 weeks

>impying turkics aren't meme muslims and don't drink at all
Sorry, don't know. I don't cook.
> You would need some specific spices which you won't find in UK most likely.
You mean cumin? If so, it's only relevant to uzbek plov. In my we rarely use it

Traditional Russian soup is nettle soup with broth from birch bark.

in my family*

зиpa, бapбapиc, кypкyмa etc

Кaк я и cкaзaл, этo вce нeoбязaтeльнo. Бapбapиc в плoвe имo вooбщe ocoбeннoe извpaщeниe.

but it truly is user. at least the 'russian way plov', pure fucking boiled rice with small pieces of low quality meat/chiken. I don't know, maybe you do it in any special way there.

I like me too.

>plum brandy
>absolutely haram.

Fuck life without rakia and bacon.
youtube.com/watch?v=UEsSDnKdklA

Well no shit there are 9000 different recipes.

>>impying turkics aren't meme muslims and don't drink at all
this
and I'm not even turkic at all.

>soup
yes, stereotypically chicken + noodles + vegetables
>buckwheat
sometimes in things like pancakes, but not a lot
>canned meat
yeah, we have a pork product called "spam" that's quite good
>plov
I'm not familiar with that word
>cabbage rolls
no, not really

thats pidcherevok on your pic

> no, not really
stuffed peppers maybe?

both cabbage rolls and stuffed peppers are not poverty food actualy, you need too much meet for them

meat is mixed with rice there.
rich people eat steaks - whole piece of high-quality meat without any garnish.
poorfags eat leafs and rice.

>rich people eat steaks - whole piece of high-quality meat without any garnish.

yes rich russians have a serious taste disorder.
eating meat everyday is not good for your health

cabbage rolls and picrel are great

It's not "poverty food". It's normal food. Poor people cant afford meat at all.
Also everyone eats soups literally everywhere. And buckwheat is a healthfood here.

>soups
delicious
>buckwheat
nice condiment
>canned meats
can be good
>plov
traditional dish
>cabbage rolls
delicious

this is real poverty food

would stick my dick in that desu
love me some pelmeni with smetana

>which you won't find in UK most likely.
Kek

Since when is soup poverty food ?

You realize that a serving of those costs more than steak in high class western restaurants?

>500$ after taxes
>upper middle-class
You are poor as fuck

>I'm upper middle class($500/month after taxes)

the 'navy pasta' is truly food of poverty, when you need just a few meet for a lot of pasta, for the c.r./s.p. you still need about 0.5-0.7 kg of raw meat at least for one whole family dinner only, which is too expensive fo regular russian family kek.
