Many Japanese claim Dokdo is Japanese, but it is wrong. The Republic of Korea is the owner of Dokdo. Historical evidence show why Dokdo belongs to Korea. Dokdo was the territory of Korea when it occupied Ulleungdo in 513. (Dokdo is an attached book of Ulleungdo.) Not only that. According to the imperial imperial decree No. 41 of 1900, Joseon promulgated the sovereignty of Dokdo internationally five years faster than Japan. And, the distance between Dokdo and Ulleungdo is 87.4km, and the distance to Japan's closest Oki Island is about 157km. You can see that Korea is located closer to Dokdo.
