Well, they don't tell you what you score on the aptitude test, but the also score you on the interview with the JATC/IBEW board.
I would assume I did well on the aptitude test, because you have to pass it to even get to the interview stage. It's just a real downer, because I'm already 30, and have been doing industrial maintenance for a while, but don't have any certifications, so this would have been a really good opportunity for me to do well for myself.

Nice field, it would be a good alternative to college if it wasn't going to be completely automated in 5 years

>"dude be a carpenter work with your hands create lmao xDDD" yeah that's not how it works. in real trades you have to WORK, because it's a JOB.

I feel for you user. I said that because 90% of the time I only have to work 5 days a week

Do you have to do a lot of geometry math? What kind of skills does the job use?
It's funny because I didn't know what a machine shop is until I googled it just now. I'm pretty sure they would expect me to have more than 0 experience, but I might check it out after more research.

can someone answer this?

Sparky here. It has been the best thing I've ever done to get a trade. Electricity is not for every one. Colorblind people especially. Ibew is the way to go. Ironworkers are badass bros. Steamfitters are also. The thing with trades really in my experience is that you need to be in it for the long haul. You can't approach a trade like a retail job and expect your skills to evolve the way they need to in order for you to become a badass at your trade. You must possess the constitution to work hard and rise early every fucking day.

ah gotcha. IIRC I think they sent a letter with my aptitude test scores to my house, but I could be wrong. Hope it works out for you in the future though man
