Red pill me on Portuguese food. How does it differ from the other Iberian food? Not talking about fancy restraunt food but the food that actual Portuguese eat themself.

Brazilian food > Portuguese Food

I don't know much about culinary, I will post the dishes I ate the most as a kid in my grandparents house

...

It's heavy as fuck mostly. You'll feel full for days. We also use the whole pig.

I believe that the greatest problem with Portuguese food is the presentation, it's just not appealing. I mean look at OP's pic. There are exceptions however.

it also depends much on the region, I'm from 80km to the southeast from the city where this dish is most famous, and I have only tasted once or twice in my life when I went there

very delicia post.

How much does Octopussy cost in Portugal?

I actually think it's the best food in Europe, different but in the same league as Italian food. It's also more meat based in general.

...

Give me a simple Portuguese recipe and I will cook it, cause I'm fucking starving but don't know what to cook.

steak sandwich, call it Prego

be sure to use garlic

easyportugueserecipes.com/prego-no-pao/

More variety in spices (Spanish mostly uses tomato and garlic) and more fish.

Basically MUH SEA EMPIRE food.

Galiza still eats more seafood than us, but they are undercover Portuguese.

also reccomended a fried egg inside the sandwich, on top of the stake

Migas:
Minced kale, cornbread and black eyed peas. Soaked in olive oil and garlic.

You guys have that kale puré thing, so you should like it.

I already found a recipe. I'm doing

Salted Cod with Cream (Bacalhau com Natas)

Food of the Gods I love this so much omfg

>All that Brazilian butthurt
lmao

>Salted Cod with Cream (Bacalhau com Natas)
Oh this si really delicious, I tried to make it once and it wasn't as good as when I ate it in Portugal

>All

I will never understand Portuguese food.

You can't JUST decide to make it. You need to, uuhh, remoisterize your salted dry cod strips over night, if that makes sense to you.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

Yes, I know. I opted to use normal non salted cod, instead of salted cod. Let see how it turns out. I'm waiting to get it baked.

7euro/kg

You're ruining it. It must be salted cod

Folar is pretty good.
It's basically bread but with all kinds of different meat in it.
There's other kinds but they're gay.

Rice cakes are also pretty good.

good thread

it is awesome. Simple but full of flavor and cheap.
