Did any of you who took a DNA ancestry test find any surprises?

No but I am planning to do a test
Because i have some sospect

>Serbian parents
>Serbian grandparents
>Macedonian, Serbian, and Croatian great grandparents
>2% South Asian

The biggest surprise was British DNA on my X chromosome. My mom's family was completely German as far as we knew. The only thing I could think of was that since Hanover (where some of muh ancestors came from) had political connections to Britain in the 18th/19th c. that's how it happened.

I know because everyone has lived on this country for generations, my skin is white as snow, I have blonde hair, I have blue eyes, I am 6 foot 2. I wouldn't be out of place in Sweden.

I'm going to take one of these tests but I already expect to be 80-90% Balkan and Middle Eastern, maybe with a little bit of Jewish or North/East African. Still interested in finding out my haplogroups and possible genetic predispositions, though.

I've brought it up and they have both done the ancestry dna tests to confirm. Mother is Greek, Father is German. Somehow I am Greek and English.

But my Y-Haplogroup is jewish. Like all things in life, I get a shitstain on so I can't enjoy it at all.

Un altro che conosco di una cittadina qui vicino che finisce in -onia ha fatto anche altre percentuali di altre etnie come ''balkan'' e ''french And german'' e ''ashkenazi''. È utile e carino soprattutto perché ti diceva almeno all'epoca anche di che malattie probabilmente ti ammalerai ed i parenti ed appunto i vari genetic diseases ... ma sugli antenati è quello che è.
