They're all the least stupid because none of them are remotely stupid. It's pretty obvious that most big Gems are fusions, and that the Diamonds discourage fusion as a means of maintaining power and control. They couldn't be as powerful as they are if they weren't fusions. Unless strength is determined by how hard a Gem is.
